Best Dutch Oven
This is the best 4qt dutch oven. It resists chipping and scratching like crazy. It has been through some rough moments with little accidents with no harm done. I have other enameled cast iron cookware but I have to be extremely careful with when using them as they will chip easily with a good bang. Staub enameled cookware is a strudy and hardy product that can be used everyday and still look brand new. It is heavy but that is pretty standard with all cast iron products. I find that cleaning it is very easy with a soak and soft sponge. I use it for cooking and bread baking. It is a pretty color and it works very well. It is a pricey pot but worth every penny. If you time it well you can buy one deeply discounted. I could have paid 125$ more for the pot at it's regular price at Crate and Barrel or William Sonoma. I am thrilled with the pot and price point sale at Amazon. You can't go wrong with a Staub Dutch Oven. I am so happy with it my 4 qt that I am looking at finding a Turquoise Staub tall 5qt dutch oven as well. The search goes on.

Gorgeous, high-quality enameled cast iron Dutch oven, durable + great size & shape...
Staub is one of my favorite cookware brands. I like cast iron and have a lot of it including two enameled cast iron Dutch ovens from well known brands (but they were actually made in China). I inherited one of them from my Dad and purchased the other before I knew about French enameled cast iron cookware in general and Staub in particular. My Dad and I had the idea to compare the two brands and both seemed to be of good quality and they lasted for years, but they were far from perfect -- the enamel on one of them was easily chipped and the interior of the other one developed cracking and the surface started to flake off. In the intervening years, I discovered Staub and started building up a collection; the quality of the materials and workmanship is amazing. They are beautifully finished with several layers of gorgeous enamel (that resists chipping) and they are very heavy with a durable matte black interior. The lids are self-basting. They are pricey so I would usually purchase a different piece for the holidays each year. Sort of a gift to myself. I have two of the figural pieces (the tomato and the pumpkin -- so charming! but useful, too) the medium-sized coq-au-vin, a 3.75 quart French oven and three of the Dutch ovens (4 quart, 5.5 quart and 7 quart). I thought my collection was complete, although I wouldn't have minded if someone gifted me the cute artichoke figural piece). Anyway, I had been using my Dad's Dutch oven as a designated pot for making yogurt, cream of wheat and oatmeal when I noticed the flaking. I liked using it for this purpose because it was taller than my Staub Dutch ovens. I was so happy to see that Staub had introduced a tall version of the 5-quart Dutch oven, and I ordered it in the matte black. It looks great and It is perfect for so many things -- yogurt, of course but also soups and stews or baking bread. The size is versatile and it is just right for smaller families. The price was $199.99 when I purchased mine, and I thought that was a good deal. I have been looking for a Christmas gift for my SIL (a great cook) and I see they are now only $149.99! I also see there are great new colors available, too! This Dutch oven is definitely worth the price as Staub enameled cast iron is gorgeously finished, well-made, robust and durable + everything I make in these pots come out flavorful and delicious. It is 10 times better than the less expensive enameled cast iron I previously used. My older ones still look brand new. I know I will be passing all of my beautiful Staub pieces down to my children and grandchildren someday and I'm sure they will enjoy them using them for years, too.

If you cook - you NEED a STAUB!!! I'm in love with a cooking pot! It's the best!
This pot is fantastic and it's BEAUTIFUL! I am in love. I've cooked in enameled pans forever but that other brand doesn't even compare. I wish I had found this brand decades ago! I'm selling all my other (expensive) pots and using only this brand from now on. No More Sticking. No more having to deglaze the pan after cooking proteins. No need to hover over the stove to prevent scorching. This pot keeps things cooking just right and everything comes out perfectly. Simply keep the heat a little lower than you normally do, but don't worry, your food will cook in the same amount of time. It arrived perfect even with the rough handling from shippers with no chipping, no breaking. It's heavier than stainless pots but that's normal for cast iron cookware. It's just SO much easier to cook with compared to plain cast iron or stainless. Easy to cook in, easy to care for. It's so pretty, it's going to sit out on top of the stove as ART in my kitchen! 100% recommended!

Great Dutch oven you won't go wrong
I absolutely love this Dutch oven. Large size, works great. Love the dark coating, compared to a white one (does not show stains. Holds the moisture in well when using. I have used it as both a slow cooker (mine broke) and Dutch oven and works great. Coojs evenly every time. I do season it every 4 to 5 uses just to keep it fresh.Would highly recommend. We'll made and we'll worth the price. Take care of it and it will last a lifetime!

Wonderful Multifunctional Pot with the 9.4 Steamer
My whole kitchen is Le Creuset, I purchased this Staub 4 qt cocotte along with the 9.4 inch Staub steamer insert. I am very happy with the quality and function of both. The size and multifunctionality are perfect for my cooking and storage needs. The lid design is fantastic. And, the aesthetic is lovely

for Cookers, here is COCOTTE
STAUB. Not much more to be said. If you cook at home this is something worth owning a few of. There are many cast iron pots on the market these days at much lower prices, but I really like Staub’s coating, performance, and overall build quality. When there is a good deal, I always choose this over cheaper options. I would suggest adding it to your wishlist and picking one up when a good deal comes along. The 4qt size is just right for light meals for 3-4 people. The thick Cocotte body and the spikes on the inside of the lid hold heat and moisture well, which helps the food complete better. I especially recommend it for meat cooking. After use, I rinse out the inside with hot water then clean it with baking soda and a plastic brush to keep the coating in good condition. As long as you don’t overheat it on the stove (like using high heat for all time) or no oil for grilling, food does not usually burn or stick badly. It is worth trying if you enjoy cooking.
