SMALL LEAF JADE - Portulacaria Afra Both are small trees or succulent shrubs up to 12 ft. growing in arid areas and well known as desert trees. Both are well suited to growing indoors, a full sun situation is ideal but both types will do well in good light. The dry conditions indoors are suitable and it must be stressed that unlike other bonsai these trees must be allowed to dry out completely between watering.
