I have several different products from these folks. I love my diamond plate. They also make a 2 sided portable sharpener. This is a diamond rod. Just a few runs and i can keep my blade keen. Price was right too.

Great product from a very skeptical user .
This item does what it says it does . Two strokes on either side at 25 degrees angle and rolled blade sharp , two more on either side and razor sharp . I don’t generally give any kind of salute to something I pay for as I expect the product I pay for should perform as stated , alas more fool me . This diamond steel does what it states and I’m buying one for my son . I’m not sure he deserves it .

Really useful. Gives a sharp edge.
Dont worry about the black lines formed by residual steel from the knife. Use a damp cloth and elbow grease, it will clean off. I freaked remembering others saying that the diamond coating came off. This was not to be the case. Hone your edge on leather and you have an almost laser edge. Slices cleanly.

Angle on handle helps
I bought this for my granddaughter’s birthday in June as part of a traveling knife set. Bought one for her older sister and she loves it. This one likes to cook and is really good at it. It has good size without being to big and fits nicely in the hand. The angle on the handle helps when honing the blade.

Works well, could be outstanding
Sharpens well. What bothers me is the handle has 6 sides and they are all 20°. 5 stars if the handle had various sharpening degrees or at least an adapter that could be attached to the handle for various sharpening degrees in addition to 20°
