works great, just as advertised
For reference I have a Stack-On fire proof safe with the carpeted panels inside. I attached this to the inside of my gun safe door with the adhesive and the nails so it holds fine. One of negative reviews said they just used the adhesive. If the inside of your safe is carpeted of course that won't hold. I put an AR15 magazine loaded with 6.8 on it and it held fine. I also know that it says all over the packaging to only use it with empty magazines so I was happy that it held a loaded mag but I wasn't expecting it. It would be nice if the magnet was a little stronger but so far it holds everything great. It holds my steel AR15, XDs, P220, P225 magazines. It doesn't hold my Pmags, XD, or Glock magazines because they don't have enough or any steel. **A word of warning XD mags are stainless steel but they won't hold because not all stainless steel is magnetic. If you aren't sure test it first with a fridge magnet. If you want to know more google "stainless steel magnetic"**

Good mag storage
They work well

Works well but there is a better solution.
I found this magnet works and will hold even loaded mags. However, the grip is not reassuringly strong so I tried a different approach that I would recommend to fellow large safe owners. I bought a 22" magnetic knife holder. I bought Ouddy brand, but I believe any good one will work and you can find almost any length to fit your needs. The knife holder magnet strength is far superior. Only slight issue was attaching, but I could drill screws into my door board. So, overall, I don't want to say this is a poor product because it does work and it will stay in my safe, but there's a better answer out there.

Excellent!!!
These are just perfect to hold most metal mags. Some stainless steel mags might not hold. I've got 6 of these and might get 3 more ....

Updated and time has spoken. Still only 3 stars. I didn't subtract only because it's strong enought to hold loaded mags.
Wasn't sure about this at first. Was getting ready to just send back because it didn't seem that strong to hold a full mag. Well it seems to be working. It has an adhesive backing that you just peel away to stick it where you want. Also comes with nails to attach to a wall or something. Since I got this for my safe used the adhesive. Seems to work so far. Time will tell. I have 8 round 1911 mags loaded with 6 rounds and seems to be holding fine so as to the strength seems to be working. If it holds up I would give it 4 or 5 stars but since time will tell only 3 for now. I am really hoping this works out. If it does I will order a few more. Update! First I'll tell you about the install. I got this to put in my safe. Like all safes it has a lining to make it look nice and to protest the finish of your rifles. Secondly it's made of steel as a good safe should be. Now for this product. Mounting. It comes with an adhesive backing for stick on mounting. That is what you need to use in a safe. I planned to use as pictured for mag's. To mount this in my safe I had to use the adhesive mount. I mounted it in my safe and left it for 48 hours to make sure it held on well. After checking on it, it seemed secure. I stuck 3 45ACP mags loaded with 6 rounds each. It held well for 3 days. I thought all was good so I put a few more mags on. I went to check on it a week later and the mount and mags were all over the bottom of my safe. It fell off. This has the strength to hold the loaded mags but the adhesive backing does not. The nails will be required for the mount if you plan on putting loaded mags on it. If you mount empty mags it should hold fine. Looking at the pic this mag is empty. This will work fine with loaded mags but you will need to use the nails and this is not an option if you put it in your safe. I guess I can mount this on the outside of my safe. Should work fine like that way but this was not my intent when I bought it. Good idea but think about how and where you plan on mounting this before you buy. Not good in a safe. Outside should be fine. Use the nails if you can but like I said. This is not an option with a safe.

Not Designed For Loaded Mags - Perfect and Inexpensive -UPDATE-
Not exactly sure why people are leaving negative reviews of this product. I currently have two on my safe door and will be adding two more. The fact that you can organize your mags with minimal footprint is a beautiful thing. I think people are angry because it won't hold full magazines, but they aren't designed for loaded mags. Rebel that I am.. I have two 10 round p224 magazines loaded and hanging from them flawlessly. It comes with nailes and screws if you need them, but the adhesive backing is impressively strong and all that's holding them to the carpeted interior door in my case. For less than 50 bucks I'll have 40-50 mags easily accessible and organized. UPDATE: Unfortunately the adhesive failed, even with support of the nails. Nails pull out with the weight of the magnet alone. Had to cut them in half and keep only two empty mags on each until I find a better product.

Nice addition to a safe’s wall
Haven’t put this set up yet but if they’re similar to the ones I previously ordered they’ll do an excellent job nailing them to the walls in my safe and depending on the way I stack my ‘accessories’ either on their sides or on the back end I can get about half as many more. I would not put a loaded 30 round magazin on its edge and expect it to stay firmly attached though. Nice little addition in addition to being. Able to use them on the outside metal walls you can also nail to wooden walls or screw it in where needed. Will keep these in my ‘purchase later’ list just incase I need more
