One of the best locks available
We have used these locks for years and never had any issues with them. One of our members got some fob style electronic locks for us to try. At first they worked OK but didn't hold up to our use (we are a local first aid squad). So right back to the Simplex locks we went. Not going to be switching to another type of lock any time soon. Should have stuck with these top quality locks that hold up to heavy duty use and are not affected by weather like the others were.

Stick with what works
We had these locks on our doors for years then decided to try electronic swipe style locks from another manufacturer. They were OK at first and then started to become problematic. So we change back to the Simplex locks as the others died. Big mistake to change them in the first place. Should have stuck with these the whole time. They are reliable, sturdy and do the job that we need them to do.

This will last a long time and no batteries
The only thing that i don't like is programming it. If you don't do this every day its a big deal to program ,but I did it, so if you don't mind racking your brain its a great lock set. I would use a lock company and let them worry about programming it, if you don't have time for this.

Good lock however...
This is my third lock and they all had small issues but nothing major enough to return, probably why they are always on sale. The customer service support was very rude for the first lock so i found advice else where for the second and third lock.

I used this lock to replace same for same type
I ireplaced this lock at a fire station office door , so it gets alot of use . But the button combo lock wears out eventually about every two years . keep the tools that come with and directions to be able to change combonation in the future. sometimes you can change combo to use a number thats not worn out?? you wil know when it does't click when you push it in.
