Godzilla NECA Head To Tail 1954 Original Action Figure, 12"

I've collected all of NECA's excellent Godzilla line so far, and this representation of the OG 1954 is easily their best effort.First off, it is incredibly solid. When you pull this figure out of the packaging, you can feel you got your money's worth. It's obvious NECA didn't cheap out on materials here.The sculpt is excellent. They've tweaked it a bit to take better advantage of the small scale, allowing them to pack an incredible amount of detail in. The teeth, eyes, and skin all look excellent. The spines are thicker than the 1985 version. The entire figure is movie accurate down to the smallest detail.The paint is simple, but perfectly captures the black and white look of the 1954 film, which is a nice touch.The articulation, while not able to compete with S.H. Monsterarts, is definitely impressive. The multi-segmented tail is very limber and Godzilla can strike a number of poses to recreate your favorite scenes from the film. The joints all seem solid as well, so breakage isn't a huge concern.Overall, this figure is a great value and a must have for any fan of Godzilla or giant monsters in general.

I bought this Godzilla as a birthday present for my boyfriend. He grew up loving the early movies and this will be displayed in his office. The 1954 Godzilla definitely looks like the monster from those films while subtly reminding you that a person was inside the costume, playing the part. I know he will absolutely love it. Nice detail and all parts seem to be intact and accounted for (I have not opened it because it is a present).Side note: mine came in clear plastic clam shell packaging with a printed backer board. Not full graphics cardboard box..it did however include a white atomic blast.Now lets talk about the Amazon fulfillment/packaging. Amazon shipped it in an unpadded plastic bag with absolutely no cushioning. The UPS delivery person literally tossed it on my front porch. I saw him walk by and heard the thump. Therefore, there are several dents, minor breaks and chipped areas on the clamshell packaging. (Looks like Godzilla stepped on it!) If you are buying this as a gift or purchasing to display unopened, you may be disappointed. This is NOT the sellers fault, it is Amazon's.

My 9 year old son has been obsessed with Godzilla for a few years. We had gotten a teeny tiny small figure for him before, but nothing like this. We had been looking for a while, trying to make sure the figure was a decent size, wasn't cheap, and was worth the outrageous prices I've seen for a simple Godzilla Figure. I'm so glad we chose this one. It has really nice detail, is a nice size for the money (as far as Godzillas go), and it has all these wonderful joints. I was surprised at how much it articulates. I didn't expect this figure to be as great as it was. My son has thoroughly loved it. If you have a Godzilla lover, this would be a very nice gift to give them. I would not recommend it for a kid that will be super rough. This should be a collectible, but what can you tell your boy when all he wants is a decent Godzilla to play with!

You know, I've made a lot of dumb purchases before in my life. A doll? For me?Still, he looks pretty cool up there on my shelf. Oh, he's not the one I had growing up that was a model and had glowing hands I think, Nah, this one is cooler. Still, I'm 55.If he wasn't articulated and was instead a statue, it'd look better, but this is good enough. Stands about 8 inches tall and is a foot from snout to tail which you must put on the last articulated ball joint, a little water to lubricate and it slips right on.Ehhh, you can't say the giant eye ball beach balls I bought this spring were really a smart deal, they sure looked cool in my trees though. If you have a bit of whimsy and fond memories of Big G, you'll probably enjoy it too.

This is a collector's item. There is a great deal of detail and many articulated joints, including arms, legs, tail and jaw. I'm sure any self-respecting collector would be pleased with the figure--but I don't care.This was a gift for a 5-year-old Godzilla-crazed grandson. He loves it because it looks fierce and can move around sufficiently to fight other figures and be the leader to his small squad of little Godzillas. The figure is rather chunky and heavy.What he wanted was a much larger Godzilla with the capability of roaring noisily. I couldn't locate what he wanted, so I wound up with this collector's item. I gave it to him Christmas Eve as an early present because waiting for Christmas morning to open presents was making him crazy. This Godzilla worked perfectly for my purpose. He was wild about the Godzilla and ran off to do some intensive Godzilla playing instead of driving everyone-himself included-out of their minds.

Great figure. It's nicely sculpted and very articulate. It has a nice gray scale pallet so it really matches the old black and white movies. The only complaint I have is that as big as it is, I still would like it to be bigger. BUT, for the price...I really didn't expect that. I could have gone bigger but didn't want to spend twice as much. I'm not a big collector, I just wanted a reminder of one of my favorite movies and characters to sit on a shelf but I wanted it to be good quality. This covers that. I don't think a person would be disappointed to get this as a gift.

Great job on this Figure by Neca, very accurate to the movie and suit that was used for the film. To add this one to your collection is the way to go. Looks very impressive on the shelf. You won't be disappointed with this even at the current price of $85.00 as this one is becoming Rare. I'm glad I purchased mine when it first came out at $25.00 and change.
