Q: Does this bed skirt have that full platform that sits under the whole mattress or is this the type that just wraps around the edges of the bed only??

Since most of the answers are 4 years old, let me give an update for the product I received in 2020. By design, yes it is for full platform that sits under the whole mattress. However I ordered king and it is not a perfect length.

Q: Can you wash this in the home washer and dryer?

Yes you can. Already washed it with Woolite darks and dried it in low setting and it came out as new.

Q: Will this fit a smaller, full size, bed?

Technically, you could use it. However, it won't look right. A standard queen size bed is 60'' x 80'' and a standard full size bed is 54''x 75''.
