DVC 17637 Flycam Nano with Free Quick Release for Mini Dv Hdv Camcorders (Black)

This is amazing. Sure, it takes practice to get a steady shot but it balanced quickly and I am loving they dynamics it adds to my videos. No need for a tripod much any more. Where as before I would see shots I wish I could do already had the tripod set up and didn't want to move it, now I just go! Love this product. I am using it with my GoPro Hero2 and my Canon Vixia HD.

Let me start by saying, if dialed/tuned in properly... this can make for some amazingly SMOOTH video! But with that being said and done... it took hours to dial in (and still requires tweaking every time it's used), the adjustment knobs feel cheap and one even stripped out on me (so now there's only 3). If I could back in time, I would have got the Glidecam... and for the simple fact it has threaded adjustment screws (for super fine and fast tuning) with locking screws for added security. NOTE: This was all based on results using Sony NEX cameras, so the light weight made it very difficult to balance.

Today I received stadycam and of course I immediately tested it (well, you know what I mean :-)). Excellent quality. Everything is done with great strength. A large range of adjustment. I am very satisfied!

Unless your HDSLR is very light, don't buy this for that. This is a nifty product and there are other models that support the 7D and other heavier cameras. This isn't the one, although it works amazingly. I've gotten close to balancing my camera and this worked well
