If this is your first Megablock Neoshifter, its going to be a little difficult to set up
Bought as a gift for a child. I am very pleased with this product. It seems sturdier than some of the bionicles and some of the pieces are hard to snap together, a child may need a bit of help putting it together. It comes with an instruction booklet thats not hard to follow. Putting it into a sphere takes some time, but just follow the directions in the little instruction booklet and you will get it.

Disappointment... impossible to keep wings intact... wing area clip breakage almost immediately.
Nice looking item if you are into this sort of toy... A neat toy but construction flaws make this item almost a model toy instead of a play toy.... Sorry so wordy.....bear with me with my 6am explanation of this item... Our 7yo recvd one for his birthday and it was neat looking on the box.... the directions were not the greatest ....poor graphics and inaccurate drawings in some instances... then when it came to the end...it was time consuming and really impossible and frustrating to keep the wings on the item and finally the area that the wings seat into broke bc of poor construction of where the wings seat and stay-- well... are supposed to stay!! When the wings seat into these clip holders which is located on a square plastic piece that attaches to the back of this toy....they have to move back and forth to roll up into a ball... but when this is done--the wings pop out over and over again... as they will slide out of place and will pop out the vertical wing holders that keep the wings sort of in place. What I wrote is difficult to understand if you do not have this contraption in front of you.... a nightmare to figure out as the above reviewer also mentioned. One of the wing holders ( clip area) finally gave way and cracked then fell off . This whole area is not made well enough to sustain any movement on a repetitive basis ( I mean more than 10x TOTAL!!) .There is a rubber band that attaches to the wings for the stretchability function that adds to the stress on the clips that hold the wings in place. It is terrible and cheezy malfunction of construction on Mega BLoks part. I am not happy with this item -- so much time wasted and whatnot trying to get this thing to become a toy it was meant to be w/o it detaching everytime a child tries to play with it as it is supposed to be played with...and then failing... This item has been in our home for less than a week and has been definately taken care of carefully. Collective time wasted trying to get this toy to stay together = 3+ hours.... :( I will give it 2 stars bc if this fitting and durability dilemma is resolved this toy can be a decent purchase for someone who likes this sort of item!!

Thoughts from my 7 year old son...
The Neo Shifter is cool, it is like Bionicles only they are thicker pieces. They are fun to build and play with too. They stay together well except the wings that pop off and are hard to put back on. It is also hard to put into a ball - it took three of us to figure out how to get it to go into the ball.
