Absolutely it works, I am a bigger person myself who sometimes has problems bending due to back issues and it is a genius bit of kit

This was for my late father so I don't have it to check. If you scroll down you will see a man demonstrating how to put paper on and extend it and you can gauge it. The accordion extension on the grip area isn't very long. btw I bought moist wipes to make it easy for my dad to manage. There is also a button that emits a puff of air to drop used tissue into the toilet. Hope this helps.
