I love this little case! I've never had a lipstick palette case before, but I thought it was cute . And why not?!! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but I'm glad I got it. I was originally thinking about keeping in my purse. That may work in the winter months, but not in the summer. I will probably use it to either scrape all the lipstick out of tubes, or have a handy lipstick palette with my makeup tray at home, and apply it with a brush I just got on Amazon... So I can custom mis the lipstick colors. I watched videos online about using a candle and a spoon. I will give that a try, as I think putting on with a brush would work better than applying directly out of a tube. Nice mirror that covers the entire lid. My palette seemed hard to open at first, too. I just pushed the bottom back as I opened it up and it opened fine that way.

I decided to save the last few inches of my tube lipsticks by melting them and creating new shades. This palette with empty compartments is just what I needed. It opens like a regular compact, contains a mirror and the lid is embellished with sparkles. It will be great for travel because it has 5 compartments for 5 different lipstick shades.

Cute & sturdy. Sparkly lid makes it look expensive. Plenty of room to add a considerable amount of each lipstick color. To smooth out surfaces after filling, use hairdryer or low or radiant heat source to cause slight melting then place in fridge for rapid cooling.

Work very well for mixing your own lipstick color. Pretty pallet and feels sturdy. Size is perfect not too big.
