Q: Has anyone used this as a toy for a small (10lb) dog?

I got this for my cats and it's great. They chase it, it chases them. And when I shut it off they're disappointed that it's no longer running on it's own and swat at it to move. I would think it would be perfect for a small dog.

Q: Will this automatically turn on when not at home?

You have to push the botton on ball to turn on and then it shuts off after 15 minutes. So you could activate it and then leave your house and after 15 minutes it would shut off.

Q: Is it dog proof, like can my dog break it easy?

Depending on your dog, for small dogs it shouldn’t be problem but for a bit bigger ones it could happen that it breaks!

Q: I just got this toy and charged it to a solid red light but it wont turn on? Did i get a defective one?

Maybe... Make sure you have it screwed on correctly. I had trouble getting mine on straight. It works the way it supposed to but my cat isn't interested in it.
