ProMount - Universal Camera Mount for GoPro Cameras

I use this gopro mount with my new GoPro 5 and once you can get the camera attached to it, it's great. However, the material used for this mount is heavy and metal like, that I had to put wax all over it because my regular gorpo mount wouldn't slide into it otherwise. I was actually going to return it because it would not slide onto this mount, but then gave the wax a try and that worked. So once you can get your gopro on this mount its great, but its not as slippery and smooth as other mounts so it'll take some time trying to get it on.

This is a nicely machined piece of hardware. Unfortunately, it does not fit the GoPro shoe. When pushed on as hard as possible, there is a 1/4 inch gap that is open. Because of this the rubber locking tab cannot be closed. The included photo shows red arrows. The rearward (left) red arrow shows the gap. The front (right) red arrow shows the scratches on the left on the shoe due to extremely tight tolerances. This photo shows the position of the rubber tab after sliding onto the ClickSnap.I sent the manufacturer a note but have not heard back from them. I will update this with their response if I hear back from them.OK, I have been communicating with product supplier multiple times. Here's the best update I can make based on a quote from him: " The rubber piece that you are showing if new and will not work with this design."So basically, if you buy a new GoPro, the foot they ship with the GoPro will not work with this product. So it probably works with older feet (which I cannot test). They still merit one star for calling this product "universal" as opposed to calling out precisely what this will work with.
