PS2 GH controller + DEVMO + Clone Hero = 😄
Works great with PS2 guitar hero controllers and Clone Hero. No drivers; literally just plug and play. Exactly what I wanted. Now shut up and watch me play Cliffs of Dover..

Guitar Hero wireless guitars work
Using on Linux with Clone Hero and PCSX2 with Guitar Hero wireless controllers. Most everything on the guitars works including tilt and whammy. The slide bar isn't supported by either software, so it of course doesn't work in game, but Clone Hero does appear to be able to sense the slider as Axis 0 while the whammy is sensed as Axis 1. It identifies as a ShenZhen ShanWan Technology Co., Ltd. Android Gamepad on Linux same as some other adapters.

Mileage May Vary (Updated Sept. 12 2020)
Months ago when I had tested this, I had mentioned I had problems with using this adapter to use a Guitar Hero controller to play Clone Hero on. As of now, Windows still does not register the whammy bar properly, but the rest of the controller works fine. Meanwhile in the Linux world, there has been a kernel update that appears to make the entire guitar work, whammy included. I am currently using Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS with Kernel 5.4.0-47 (linux-generic) and it works with no problems. I have also discovered that 31ms is the best latency (for me at least) on Windows with Clone Hero, while Linux I still haven't nailed it. I am happy that the controller works as it should now with this adapter. I change my rating from three stars to four stars. Original Review: I picked this up, with hopes that my Guitar Hero controller would completely work, but I had some problems on both Windows on Linux. I also happen to play Clone Hero on my computer as well. On Linux, the buttons that don't work is Red, Blue, and Orange on the GH Controller. Going by a normal PlayStation 2 Controller, Square, X, and Circle did not work either. All other inputs did, and left Clone Hero unplayable for me on Linux. On Windows, It installs itself as an PlayStation 3 Controller, and mostly worked with the GH Controller. The one issue that comes up though is one of the analog axis inputs are pinned (like dragged to the left), and whammy is treated as the same axis as the strum bar. Apart from that, Clone Hero was playable and I had some fun! There is barely any latency, but on Clone Hero it auto sets itself to 25ms, and I have found 28ms to be picture perfect. This adapter *could* make a good way of using your Guitar Hero controller (and potentially other controllers) on PC. Your mileage may vary, however.

Does not work on Windows 10 with authentic Dualshock controllers
Had similar issues others had regarding this adapter, the adapter itself is recognized by Windows as a controller, but upon plugging in a controller it proceeds to indefinitely disconnect and reconnect, rendering it unusable. This is not a problem with the controllers as they work without issue on an authentic PS1 and PS2. This is also not an issue with the USB ports on my computer as they work perfectly with any other device. Cannot recommend this in the slightest as of right now as I am unaware of any fix for this. It's possible it may work out of the box with a PS3, but I can't test that as I don't own one. If your goal is to use this to play PS2 games on PC, don't waste your money on this pile of scrap.

Works perfectly for Guitar Hero controllers on PC.
(Using a RedOctane PSLGH) I bought this to be able to connect my PS2 guitar hero controller to my PC for Clone Hero. At first I was skeptical that it would work because it isn't a traditional PS2 controller, but as soon as I connected it to my PC all inputs were recognized (color buttons, whammy bar, strum bar, menu/select) and I was able to bind them correctly in Clone Hero. There is also no noticeable input delay, and I am using a 144hz monitor. Good product.

Didn’t work
Didn’t work for me. Technically works, but I tried it on my PS3 with my PS2 guitar and the game kept thinking it was a microphone. Might be a weird fix for it or something but I haven’t found it yet.
