Excellent alternative to the big hard plastic cone!
Last night after getting home from the vet with our 103lb American Akita was a struggle all night. He had to be neutered due to chronic bacterial prostatitis. The after surgery cone(gigantic clear hard plastic lampshade thingy) from the vet that was $21 was not a good fit for him.1. He hated it.2. He kept getting out of it.3. He couldn't lie down comfortably.4. He couldn't fit under the kitchen table where he likes to lie unless we moved 2 chairs away from the table. So we put his rubber mesh muzzle on him instead. Well he got that off too.So we put his nylon muzzle on. He got that off after a few minutes as well. LOLSo I ordered this from Amazon for $16.98, it came early this morning and it's working great! He's very comfortable, he fits under the table with it, and he hasn't tried to remove it. WIN!!!!I was worried about the size because I ordered the largest one they offered and prayed it fit. It did!!!! His regular dog collar is 25" and this inflatable collar is an XL which says 21"-24", it fits perfectly and isn't too tight. I definitely recommend this for anyone with a big dog that needs an after surgery collar.

If your dog HAS TO wear a cone of shame, let it be this one
I'm so impressed. My dog had surgery and I refused to make him wear one of those stiff, scary Elizabethan collars the vets sell you. My dog's a sensitive guy, and going to the vet and being left there for surgery is scary enough. He had trouble getting comfortable enough to lie down, and it helped him that he could lay his head on this soft pillow collar so he was more comfortable. The cover is made of a nice, soft but sturdy fabric, that zips off so it can be washed. Trust me, you're going to need to wash it, lol. It's easy to get on and off. The velcro strap part goes on the back of the neck. It's wide enough so your dog would have a tough time reaching most parts of their body to mess with anything you don't want them to mess with.Highly recommend!

Soft and works well!
Comfort:This works great! It's soft and feels nice for our dog, follow the tip on the card and inflate to only 80% to get your pet used to it and then can inflate fully after a few hours. Love that the cover comes off to wash it. Big enough to keep our dog from licking at stitches on her front leg, but she can still drink water and eat from her bowls. The only down side (and why only four stars) is because where the two halves come together, our dog figured out how to get her nose down through it and thus was able to get to her stitches during the first night. I ended up hand sewing additional velcro and that has worked great- she hasn't been able to get through it again. It would be a great improvement to the overall design if this was done to keep that gap closed!

Worked temporarily to keep her from scratching
The collar worked well for about a week. Bigger pup chewed the Velcro and no longer straps tightly. But really liked the loops to put regular collar through. Stays on if we are watching her but we will need a replacement cone asap.

Comfortable & Practical Recovery
After surgery or injury, the MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone Collar offers a great alternative to traditional hard plastic cones. This soft, cushioned recovery collar provides comfort while still effectively preventing your pet from licking or biting at their wounds. It’s easy to adjust and fits a variety of dog sizes. The design is lightweight and less intrusive than standard cones, helping your pet move around more freely. Plus, it’s washable, ensuring it stays clean throughout recovery.Pros:1. Comfortable Inflatable Design: Soft, cozy alternative to hard plastic cones.2. Adjustable Size: Fits a wide range of dogs, from small to large.3. Easy to Clean: Washable fabric cover makes maintenance a breeze.4. Lightweight: Doesn’t weigh your pet down or restrict movement.5. Improved Mobility: Unlike hard cones, this doesn’t block vision or movement as much.Cons:1. May Deflate: If the collar gets punctured, it may lose its inflation, reducing effectiveness.2. Limited Use for Larger Pets: The smaller size may not offer as much protection for very large dogs.3. Needs Frequent Adjustments: May shift or move if your pet is particularly active. The MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone Collar is a solid choice for pet recovery, offering a comfortable, effective solution to keep your pet from irritating their injury while providing a better experience than traditional collars. It’s a well-rounded option, balancing comfort with practicality.

Really comfortable for your pet, does what it should and it’s cute!
This is really the best! We tried several different kinds on a Yorkie and this came out miles ahead of the rest. He had an allergic reaction to something and it took us some months to figure out the cause. This “tire” was comfortable (he also used it as a pillow when sleeping) and perfectly kept his little teeth and tongue away from the hot spots without bothering him much. Plus, he looked so darned cute wearing it. We laughed every single time we put it on. He never once tried to get away, so we knew it was okay. We still have it after he passed. Somehow can’t bring ourselves to give it away.

Didn't last two weeks :(
Seems comfortable for him to lay down on but not at all durable unfortunately :( my dog has had it on just over a week and it's falling apart at the seams. Might work for smaller/elderly pets that don't move around as much? Or perhaps only at bedtime?

It has its benefits. Looks more comfortable for the dog.
The media could not be loaded. My dog had TPLO surgery. He destroyed two types of cones. Even once at the veterinarians. I would’ve given this five stars if it was a way to keep it on when I’m not watching him. This does make it easier for him to eat and to drink instead of the normal cones. I do recommend it, but you really should watch what your dog is doing. The cone type ones can work, but I had to use duct tape to keep it together. I probably could do the same with this. That way the Velcro not come off.
