I have not used it yet, so I cannot comment on that . But the look of it has won me over, it has a 1950s look about it yet modern. I chose green looks lovely in my kitchen.

Absolutely LOVE this coffee machine. For a start, it looks amazing, totally eye catching! Quality is outstanding as you’d expect from a Smeg item. Really easy to set up and use, I did without even looking at the instructions. Comes with a little coffee scoop and is all wrapped in Smeg bags for extra protection. Would highly recommend

For various aesthetic considerations together with positive reviews purchased this filter coffee maker about 2 1/2 years ago. It has performed perfectly making perfect filter coffee which, if you get the best beans, i.e. select Colombian, the coffee is smooth, flavorful, without bitterness. Machine is quiet, fairly quick, and keeps coffee warm for about an hour. It is rather large with a substantial footprint, but the look is pleasing to the eye and ergonomics are fine. But, after daily use for past >2 years, the water pump died and could not be revived. So, bought another one, but really, at this price point, I would expect a coffee maker to last at least 5 years. Maybe more. For this reason, it gets 4 instead of 5 stars.

Pretty good machine but a few things let it down. The design of the lid could be improved as, when you pour the water in using the coffee pot, the angle of the lid stops you from pouring all the water in.The handle of the pot feels like it is made of very cheap plastic. If the pot is completely filled, it almost feels like the handle might snap off due to the weight.

Difficult to pour water into the well. Always end up with water on the counter.Also, straight out of the box one of the digital lines in the last number was missing. I didn't return the coffee maker, as I needed it immediately, but it is annoying having to see it every day.
