A report after a dozen runs
I am an honest 11 EE. I have been measured by pro's on several occasions. Many years ago I took an 11 4E in New Balance running shoes. More recently I have had to move to 11 1/2 4E due to NB making their shoes smaller. Before I bought these 680s, I tried on a pair of 580s in a local store and concluded I might now need a 12 4E.The new 12 4E is, in fact, shorter and narrower than my four-year old 760s in 11 1/2 4E. But, the new 680s seem like they will be OK.So, actual 11 EE takes a 12 EEEE in the NB 680.That said, the shoe is a bit narrow for me and my foot does not fit as "deep" into the shoe as it did in the 760s.The 760s were great. So, I now have about a dozen 1-hour runs on these shoes. I weigh ~ 210, run 100% on pavement, pretty slow. The shoes are fine, probably in the top-25% of shoes I've run in. Their forte is cushioning; the down-side is stability. They are fine on pavement. They would be less good on dirt, I think.I expect, in the long run, I will like them a lot less than the 760...but, that was a top-5% shoe for me.UPDATE #1I put these shoes into service on 1 May 2014. It is now November 2015. I run an hour on these shoes every 4th day...except in the winter. I weigh ~210 pounds. The shoes have been fine. Each shoe has a 1.5" diameter hole worn in the inner liner at the heels...for some reason, those big holes are not uncomfortable. They do seem to cause my socks to wear out right there. I have never had previous shoe/sock wear at the heels.I am continuing to use them and will report back.

**Original Review with Update**
I am not sure about star-rating for this shoe as I wasn't able to actually use them. I sent them back since they were extremely narrow compared to prior use of New Balance shoes I have worn. I generally wear a 10.5 2E, but these felt very tight on the sides of my feet- sent back and will consider ordering a pair in the 4E size rating, but may go to a local store to check out the fit before doing so. As far as the quality/feel of the shoe, it appears to very light and I believe this would be a comfortable running shoe for my marathon train-up as long as I can get them sized appropriately.((UPDATE)) Re-ordered in 10.5-4E size and they fit well. Have been on three 5-mile runs with them, and they feel extremely comfortable; however, not so sure about arch support- though they feel GREAT while running, I have had some increase in arch pain after resting once runs are complete. I removed the flimsy insole and purchased one with a bit more arch to it and will see how they work out. I think this should do it- really do like the way these feel while jogging and appreciate a color other than the traditional white/blue that I'm typically resigned to as a "fat-footer". I still think they deserve a high rating- just need to figure out the appropriate size since they are a lot more narrow compared to older NB models.

No woman, no cry.
I've written one review before in my life: for a god-awful lodge in Kenya. I figured, after a 3 year hiatus, I'd pick things up again and tell people how great something is.I've suffered from calf and achilles problems for about 10 years. As a keen runner and triathlete I've never gone more than about 3 months without things flaring up again. I've tried countless physios, all sorts of massage/rest/roller combos, strength exercises, you name it. Nothing had more than a nominal affect. After buying my first pair of these in a local sports shop as they were on sale, I've never been injured since - that was 2 years ago .I'm not sure what makeup the shoe has but it's revolutionised my lower leg injuries. They look disgusting, the top is a *little* flimsy (although having been through about 6 pairs over the last years, nowhere NEAR as flimsy as some of these reviewers would have you believe) and have now been superseded by a newer model BUT they are the most amazing trainer possible for ANYONE with any lower-leg problems.I actually bought the new version (V3) which are far more aesthetically pleasing, but within a few runs could feel the old issues come back. The heel on this version seems somewhat thicker. If you want a shoe to keep injuries and attractive ladies as far away as possible: this is the one for you.

Nicely priced American made shoe.
This is my second pair of these shoes. I am not a hard core runner... I run when my wife says, "hey, we're going running," or when the pool is closed for some reason. I am more a swimmer, but with work I am on my feet all day long. I often wear these when I dress casually for work (I am a high school teacher), and am very happy to not have a sore back or tired legs at the end of the day. They also become my work around the yard shoes, my ride the four-wheeler shoes, my going to town shoes, etc.The price was good as I have never needed to own the most current running shoe style, and I really appreciate that they are American made. Some other reviews have said that glue or stitching started to give... that was true with my last pair as well, but I abused them and expected to see that kind of wear. They won't last forever, but they last quite a while and are good while they last.

Porqué no se hacen ya colores sin estridencias de fosfórito?
Fueron el recambio del mismo modelo que ya usaba

Scarpe new balance..... OK!

lightweight & comfortable
Surprisingly light weight considering the amount of heel cushioning.Excellent all round trainer at a reasonable price.Size is true; however I exchanged for a half size up from what I initially ordered.Overall- extremely happy

scarpe running new balance
