I have used Decelerator pads more than any others on shotguns and rifles. They grind very nice (start with 80 grit & finish with 150 grit). Also reduce felt recoil and look great.

I purchased this recoil pad to finish out a rifle restoration project. What is nice about these "grind to fit" pads it that you can get that perfect angle and natural look you will want.First off make sure that when you place your order that the pads plastic base is the right size for your stocks butt end or else you can grind through the edge and ruin the pad.In my case it had to build a jig which allowed me to match the angle of the under side of the butt stock and then grind on a disk sander.That was the most cumbersome part of the installation, that and making sure there was perfect allignment when I tapped my screw holes.All in all it turned out great.

I liked the price , the fast shipping, It was a replacement for a shotgun stock that I was changing the length of pull taking about .75 in, off the stock. this new but plate gave better recoil relief then the original. It was also easy yo shape and fit. The finish product I was able to get a factory look from.

I have used Pachmayr Decelerator pads on a few of my rilfes and shotguns and am very pleased with their quality and performance, especially in recoil reduction. Yes, alot of it has to do with proper fit so if you don't have the skills to properly fit it as far as alignment, srock length, etc... I would recommend that it be fitted and attached by a qualified gunsmith.

Best recoil pad going for sporting clays. This is about all I will use.
