I’ve ordered this product twice now. I do a wide array of workouts from weights to running to multi-functional. I’ve taken aminos from different companies for a long time but started to finally really research & felt much safer taking Thorne. The flavor isn’t the best if you add too much water. I’ve always added around 20oz to my intra-workout aminos with no problem but this one will get watered down. I adjusted and it’s been good. I’m also used to awful tasting soups and just powering through worse and this flavor is better than stuff I took up till the last few years. Newer people to using supplements might not like the flavor at all but trust me all workout supplements used to be awful. My recovery & muscle growth/lift gains have remained the same to the other products I’ve used with more mystery ingredients so there was no drop off there. I’m okay with taking a step back on taste and variety rather than putting mystery crap in my body from lesser regulated big companies. Product quality wins this for me & I’ve heard from multiple non-Thorne associated experts that vouched for Thrones testing.

Nice subtle taste, not overly sweet. Very effective.

I bought this to supplement my diet before and after a total knee replacement. To me, the taste is very acceptable with a "citrusy" flavor and mixes fairly well with water or orange juice. Performance-wise, I've maintained strength and muscle volume post surgery which were my main goals.

The flavor ……it’s tough. It’s like drinking a sweet TART. Emphasis on tart. No better way to describe . Can’t get past the flavor to make other comments .

This amino complex understood the assignment. Tastes good, mixes fast, and suddenly I’m hydrated, energized, and feeling like I could add “one more set” without negotiating with myself. Definitely earned a permanent spot in my shaker.

I am sorry to be critical, I wanted to like this, but I would not recommend this product. The Amazon sales page description is deceiving. It does not mention that there is a warning on the label that this product can expose me to chemicals, including lead, which are known in the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. I only found out about this after I had received the product. From now on, I will buy other Amino products that do not have these chemicals. If I have a choice, and I do, I will not expose myself to nutritional products that have this warning label.

I’ve found that this amino acid supplement does not mix as well as other brands I’ve used. I only add water and shake it in a bottle—something that works perfectly with other amino supplements—but with this product, there’s still a gritty, sandy residue left behind that doesn’t fully dissolve. That residue ends up being consumed and leaves an unpleasant texture in the mouth. The taste itself is fine, and I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks, so it’s too early to comment on effectiveness. This review is purely based on mixability, which has been disappointing compared to similar products.

I have taken this for several years as a pre workout. Works great and tastes good as well.

Thorne is usually a good product, but this came in with moisture that clumped up the powder even though it was still sealed

The sachets are damaged. Some of them are hard and not even in powder form. And the bag has a rotten smell. Doesn’t feel safe to consume at all.
