Audiolab M-ONE 80-watt Stereo Integrated Amp / Bluetooth DSD DAC - Black

I don't even know where to begin. This thing is just silly at the price I got it at. Don't feel bad though because I'm about to tell you that it is worth it's $899 MSRP. Better than the IOTAVX SA3 by a country mile. Better that the NAD D 3020 V2 & 3045 too. The only thing I had that gave it a run for it's money is another stupidly well priced amp for the money but it's an amp only and that is the XTZ A2-300 (that thing is a monster for $400). The one con to this is it truly sounds better using it built in DAC and that's a bit strange to me. I tried my Mytek Liberty with external PSU, my Questyle CMA Twelve (dual AKM 4490's), FiiO K9 (Dual ES9038 Pro's), and others. I just wanted you to get a sense for how well the internal ES9018k2m is integrated into this -or- how bogeyed the AUX in's are. I can't figure this one out but it's really not a bug deal. Things over AUX do still sound great (my CD player for example) but I'm just surprised that even with a $1000 DAC I couldn't beat the internal DAC of this. It has a ton of features I didn't expect too (display brightness, filter options, standby timer, volume on power on settings, etc) and the remote doesn't feel like a throw away. It's really good and does NOT have "Saber Glare" (I was worried about that but it's not analytical sounding at all and is really detailed but smooth). You should buy one. If you find it at or beneath $600 again, you should buy two.

Cannot attest to the quality of the product shipped to me as it was previously opened. Not sure why but all these being stocked have been opened, tampered with, and then resealed. Have taken several pictures but unfortunately there is no way to upload them. Disclaimer: Know that you aren't getting a "new" un-opened item! Edit: decided to keep one that i purchased. A bit disappointed paying “new” price for an obviously “used” or “open box” item. Otherwise the amplifier is fantastic! Currently have a pair of LS50 wired to them. Can say they’re powered just fine but at 40watt per channel just a tad too weak to power them completely! Still runs great, audio is fantastic, very articulate and neutral sounding, no emphasis on bass response, and highs are just fine.

This is a truly excellent DAC/Amp that is well worth the price. My only complaint is that when I hooked it up to the speakers that my older DAC/Amp was attached to it was immediately obvious they needed to be replaced to reveal the true value of the DAC/Amp. Now I can audition music I'm thinking of downloading in my computer room without having to play it through my much more expensive audiophile stereo system in another room. I HAD WRITTEN THE ABOVE BEFORE SUPPORT WAS NEEDED. Months later I discovered my original sound driver had been replaced automatically by a new driver that didn't work. First, it appeared only to be unable to play SACD (dsf) files in FOOBAR2000, so I reinstalled the driver from the website. At that point ONLY music played via FOOBAR2000 worked. I couldn't play Amazon Music or Youtube or anything else. The email form for support goes to the American distributor who did not reply. Calling the UK I was told the only technically familiar with the driver had already left for the day at 3:30 PM their time. I used the email contact form for IAG, a Chinese firm that owns them, to express my frustration, but got only an automated reply. I called the UK again the next day starting at 4:30 AM PST and got nothing but busy signals. Finally, I reached them the next day and their expert could only say they had no complaints from other users and suggested system corruption, which I know how to fix and was not the cause. As a last resort I tried installing their driver again first making sure all traces of the old driver were gone. That worked but it installed TWO drivers: One a "real" sound driver that shows up under sound drivers in Device Manager for Windows 10. The other appears to be a combined ASIO and deice driver that shows up separately. Proper support could have told me to expect this kind of configuration. Proper software design would remove older driver versions to avoid conflicts. But, instead of an apology, the support person advised me his management said I really should be going through the US Distributor and using their support. I guess the bean counters want to make sure they charge service to the right country to see who is really profitable. If that is what is most important they have missed the point. The shortfalls in software design and support are what the customer remembers and it will influence further buying decisions he and his friends make about the viability a an Audiolab purchase.

My main hifi system includes separates. So i needed an integrated for bedroom that wasn't overwhelming at low volumes. But this unit can drive comfortably my main speakers. Generally a well recommended integrated for what I paid. Highly recommended.

I use these with Triangle Borea BR02 and Wharfedale 12.1 speakers. It brings out minute details in music without overwhelming bass. Major drawback I find with them is that sometimes when I power ON the unit the volume resets to -44dB and I have to turn the dial all the way up. I have listened to Audiolab 6000A and if for the extra bucks 6000A is definitely worth.

I really like this integrated amplifier. It has plenty of power to drive the medium sized Canton towers attached to it. Not just power but clean power that produces music that seems relatively uncolored by the amp. The bluetooth function has worked flawlessly thus far and provides a reliable connection. My only fault would be that sometimes an incoming call on my iphone will interrupt the bluetooth streaming. It doesn't happen all of the time and it is very easy to get back on track once it happens.
