Baxton Studio Crocus Walnut and Black Modern Bar Stool

UPDATE Feb. 15, 2015 - Be sure to check screws on the bottom of the stools at least once a month. A few months after my purchase, while sitting I heard something hit the floor and found that one of the screws had fallen out. I tried to put the screw back in and there was nothing to screw it into. I presume that a nut was on the other side and once the screw fell out there was no way to re-attach the screw. So, going forward I regularly check the screws and tighten them. As I use these bar stools on a daily basis, at my dining room table, working on my laptop, sewing, and a number of other projects for a number of hours. They are still very, very comfortable. . . .I still recommend them as before. Original review: The height is perfect for my dining room table. These are extremely comfortable. The back supports the lower back wonderfully and the up curve of the seat kinda holds you in place. I wish the foot bar extended out a bit more. Also, the vinyl and wood look are very inexpensive materials (I really can't complain since their only $125.00). But, as long as these are taken care of I hope the last for years to come. I would recommend to most every one, but if you have children I would check other products.

These chairs look fabulous--exactly like uber-expensive Eames chairs, though the Eames company will not allow any other company to say so. They work great and were a cinch to put together despite somewhat confusing directions (A tip: Though it's not mentioned on the direction sheet, one piece says, "remove before assembling." Do so.) It's always risky to buy furniture online, but these chairs have a high-end look that can set the tone for an entire room.One word of caution: the chairs are quite narrow. I am not overweight, but my hips were very snug in these chairs. It felt a little like sitting in a playground swing. My husband has a large frame (6'4") and the chairs fit him similarly. They are fine for sitting in for a short time, but they are not the kind of thing I would like to lounge in for hours. If you are very wide-hipped or overweight, I would not recommend that you buy these.

Was in the need for new bar stools. My other ones were too small and not that comfortable to sit on. The room they are in is a small room and I use them when I have more than 4 people over, so wanted comfort. Thought by looking at them that they would be comfortable. Unfortunately, the first one came with its hydraulics so I had send it back. Took the chance to get another one and it works. They are more comfrotable to sit in and Ilike that they swivel so I can turn and look at people. Woudl get them again. Will let you know how they hold up in a few months.

Just be warned that the wood is very soft and a few swivels against our countertop and they are dented rather dramatically. We have young kids, so we aren't shocked to see furniture damaged, but for the price, it would be nice to have a bit more wear on the wood. Overall though, a very elegant chair and comfortable too:)

Beautiful chair, but the sides of the back hit the countertop edge and have gouged the soft wood and taken off the stain. This happened after only a few uses.

Easily knicked surface veneer. Not repairable.

The Style looks pretty good but the wood are little fragile. It breaks very easily but overall not too bad!

Looks good, but not a sturdy product it has already started to deteriorate. I guess one can't expect high quality from a Chinese made product. Worst is I placed order for 6 chairs and I have been receiving one(1) chair delivered each day and after 3 chairs the remaining chairs have not yet been shipped ! Today it shows the remaining chairs will be shipped a month from now. Thinking of returning the chairs ! Do not buy is my recommendation.
