Still good one year later…
This is a very good mouse for the price point. This is a good value if you don’t need the most technical features (like what one may expect of a gaming mouse for instance). If you need a basic 3 button mouse - look no further. The underbelly has lasted against a variety of surfaces and the buttons still have a positive and smooth click after much use. The design isn’t anything amazingly innovative - but this is a standard shape to accommodate most hands. I suspect this mouse is comfortable for kids and adults alike to use. The mouse interface is smooth and responsive across both Windows and MacOS. The best feature of this mouse is its lengthy cord. This mouse can make it across the desk with ease if needed. I have used it with a USB extender as well without affair or connectivity loss. Need a mouse that isn’t overthought? Buy this one.

Great mouse for my use - I am not gamer and can't assess that application
First, this mouse is a bit higher, some have a sleek, low profile that tends to slip about under my fingers. I am older, bit arthritic. and this mouse works very well remaining right where I want it and not sliding as the lower sleek mice sometimes do. The wheel is easy to use as are the left and right clickers. It also has a nice longer cord that works well in the desktop environment. I run the cable down being plugged into screen and through keyboard slider. I am not a gamer and not really sure what they need, so can't comment on it. I do an 800 piece online jigsaw puzzle daily and this mouse works well for that, I can put move the mouse right at the point I want very easily to pick up a piece. Very accurate and easy to use mouse and better then the last one that had Amazon on the label

MORE BANG FOR YOUR BELKIN BUCK
I was looking for a mouse. A cheap mouse. Something under $10. Hopefully, something that would actually last longer than the last cheap mouse I bought on Amazon (it didn't even last a month!). I have used and reviewed a lot of Belkin products in the past, usually with pretty good results. This was not literally THE cheapest mouse I could find on Amazon, but it was still under $10, so I decided to take a gamble on it. Fortunately, for what is unarguably a "cheap" (in cost) mouse, the Belkin USB Optical Mouse is surprisingly well built and works flawlessly. A couple of things impressed me with this mouse off the bat, First, it has no ridiculous, unnecessary LEDs. I have this mouse connected to a laptop in my bedroom and mice with blinking LEDs drive me nuts. They also waste electricity. I love the fact that this mouse does not light up my entire bedroom, even when the computer is unplugged. Secondly, I was also impressed with the USB cable that the mouse uses. Most "cheap" mice sold these days use cords that are as thin as a strand of spaghetti. This is always a sign of poor construction, which leads to a very short mouse lifespan. The Belkin mouse has a pretty beefy USB 2.0 cable by today's standards. Light enough to not get in your way, but thick enough that it will probably last longer than my past few cheap mice put together. The packaging that the mouse arrived in was a very simple cardboard box. No driver disk (none necessary, for Windows at least). No confusing manual written in Chinese. No maddening blister packaging, nor any materials that can't be recycled. Kudos to Belkin for keeping things simple. It's definitely worth more than the $2-3 extra than you will pay for THE cheapest mouse you can find here on Amazon. So, do yourself a favor and give the Belkin mouse a try. I'm guessing that you will not be disappointed, either.

Easy to use - reasonable price
I just received this mouse to replace my previous mouse when the wheel broke after 3 years. It is easy to install and is plug and play. The mouse is comfortable to use and offers very good control for point and click accuracy. This is an optical mouse and is responsive on both dark and light surfaces. It comes with a 5 foot cord which makes it easy to connect to a PC. If the mouse holds up and doesn’t break, I will be very happy.

Dell Hell
Some likes and dislikes. I have no problems with this mouse. Dislikes The left, right and scroll buttons click loudly. The USB cable is a tad bit short 5 ft. Compared with my Dell or Logitech mice had more than enough cable. Likes Operates smoothly like any other mouse on market. Works on remote setups like point to point. Works well with Trend-net KVM switches. I had way too many Dell mice and key boards on non Dell computers. I was having so many problems with controlling my computers with a KVM switch. I still have Dell mixed in with other brands. And even the Dells were having problems. I tried new Dell Keyboards and mice still no fix. So I tried other brand mice like this one and keyboards. Everything right now is working better than before. My only test will be how long will it last compared to the more expensive brands. Just a side note: I am slowly moving away from Trend-Net switches because remote control systems do not play well. What can you do with remote control? if you have lets say 5 PC and 5 Macs in your first office with a KVM switch. This setup could be your home office or business outside of your home. You are getting tired of all of the noise and heat from your computers. You can buy a Trend-Net KVM extender like this one TRENDnet 1080P KVM Console Extension Kit up to 100 Meters (328 ft.), TK-EX4 Do know their is a lot of options for KVM extenders just do your home work. All you have to do is set the transmitter in your central office and one in your remote office like a den or living room. It is one way to watch YouTube or any other web content on your Big HD TV.

This mouse is my baby.
I've had this mouse for almost a decade. When it finally broke down, I used and ordered like 3 other mice before finally finding this same mouse, and ordering it. This rating is highly biased, and I'm sure there's "better" mice out there, but this one is what I have always been comfortable with, and its shape is exactly what I want from a mouse. No gimmicks, or RGB nonsense, no weird shape. It's smooth, it's simple, it clicks good, the scroll wheel is alright, it's everything I need, and I love it. Treat it right and it will easily last you for many many years.

Great mouse, great price.
I bought this mouse to replace my dying Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. This mouse works great and seems well built. It is slightly smaller than the old mouse, but definitely not a compact mouse. The buttons are a bit louder, but not enough to bother me. Others have complained about the wheel being tight/loose/noisy/etc, but I think it feels just right and is not noisy at all. The cord is about 5 feet long which is perfect for me. I can't speak for the longevity of this product since I have only had it for a few days, but I am not really worried about it. Overall, it seems to be a great mouse for a great price.

Much lighter and smaller than I was expecting, doesn't feel like it'll last
This mouse is too small and light for me and the clicks are much louder than my previous mouse (Microsoft Comfort 3000 that I had to replace due to the scroll wheel getting too gummy and dragging against the sides, comparison pictured). I just started using it and since the cable isn't straightened out yet it keeps dragging against parts of my desk and dragging the mouse with it. After only a few hours of use the scroll wheel has started squeaking which just feels like shoddy build quality. It's fine in that it works as a mouse and it's cheap but since I mostly just use a desktop I don't need a mouse that I can travel with.
