Q: I bought 4 boxes of these. when i opened the boxes i notice an unusual smell. do i have a bad batch? anyone else have this problem?

When I opened mine they smelled like they were stored in a basement for awhile. My set is still working with no issues yet.

Q: good afternoon. About the voltage of these lights, do they work for 220 v, or only 110 ?

I believe only 110 v. I have mine plugged into the regular outlets in the front room, computer room and bedroom. They really are beautiful.

Q: Do these lights use lot of electricities? Will they use lots of electricities if I leave them on all the time?

Two answers: 1) they are led bulbs, Google them;2) why do you leave them on all the time? Put them on a timer.

Q: Is this suitable for year round in my granddaughter's bedroom?

It works in my granddaughters bedroom.
