Q: Can this hang from a single point?

Yes it can . I used mine with a strap I was able to put around a limb to hang it from

Q: what hanging kit is compatible with this swing? (to hang from a tree, and will it still spin/swivel?)

Different kits work with it, just make sure it will support the weight put on it. It will swivel if you get a rotating connector and hook all four supports to it. We love it!!

Q: Can this be put in a regular hammock stand?

I’m sure the hammock stand could be modified to hold this swing, but most hammocks are designed with an area to lay on that is longer than 5 feet. I am 5’10” and my feet hang over the edge of the swing when I lay on it.
