Q: I am begging you, please release an orange peel version. This thing is amazing, but I can’t use it for any wall repairs. I’m offering you my money.

Maybe can use this but spray it with the orange peel can to get a “raised” effect? Trust me! I just finished the entryway from hell! Too many patches poorly done by previous owner. My texturing spot on, till I stood back & looked at entire wall! Ended up having to do an entire wall by hand with 12 cans of orange peel texture. Every dang one was different half of them didn’t work. Had to take back to HD. Spluttered splashed some of the texturing was spot on and perfect and some looked like texture rained sideways. Of course I had already painted the wall when I realized the whole thing needed to be done. And spots here and there. Long story short if you’re going to do more than spot texturing you need to primer the wall after you’re done texturing, because the paint absorbs differently or is absorbed by the texturing. And if the textures a little bit different, it shows up on eggshell, “friendly” yellow. Needless to say textured, probably three times and painted the walls four times. Can you see somewhere in my video where there was a hole in the wall or previous owners? Front door handle went through it? I think I patch that went pretty good. Lol. There has to be a better way for a DIY owner.

Q: What are the measurement of this stencil?

It’s about 6”x 6”. This is only good for walls. The stencil is to thin for ceiling.

Q: can you add joint compound to this? or do you need a special mud mix?

Joint compound actually works the best. You lay down the metal stencil flat on the wall and run a 6" drywall knife over it with the drywall mud then just lift off. Works good.

Q: What is the stuff that goes on the wall before using the patch? Is that just paint? Plaster?

There’s nothing really required before. Typically you’ll want a smooth surface below before applying the pirate patch. So it’s just sanded drywall/drywall mud underneath
