perfect fit and function
this one works like new. Because it is. Made in USA. Fits and functions properly. The original one ran 100Kmiles and 16 years so quality is good. Why by aftermarket and do it again?

You can install it yourself and save hundreds and dollars!
I saved $300 dollars in Ford dealership labor costs by buying this OEM part for $40 and installing it myself after being told by the dealership that the tensioner is going bad and quoting me $400 to replace it. For me, it was very easy to install since the tensioner only has 1 bolt and easily accessible on a Ford Crown Vic. All you need is a 3/8" socket and a 1/4" ratchet. 1- Insert the ratchet into the square hole on the tensioner and pull the ratchet to the side to relieve the tension off the tensioner and slip the serpentine belt off. 2- Now that the tensioner is free from the serpentine belt, use the 3/8 socket and ratchet to remove the only bolt holding the tensioner (make sure you remember the position of the old tensioner so you know how to position the new one) 3-Once the old tensioner is removed, install the new tensioner the same way the old tensioner was. I recommend applying a thread-locker around the bolt thread before installing back. The recommended torque is 15-22 lb-ft, but I only used a thread-locker and tightened the bolt moderately but not too tight since the bolt is aluminum and can break. So a little bit tighter than hand-tight but not too tight. The Thread-locker will keep it from loosening. 4- route the serpentine belt back to the way it was then use a ratchet to pull the tensioner to the side so you can slip the serpentine belt back on. Make sure the serpentine belt is routed correctly. If you don't remember, look at the picture inside the engine compartment if there is one or the users manual. Also make sure the serpentine belt sits nicely on all pulleys and not about to fall off once you start the engine. 5- Start the engine and be ready to turn it off in-case you made a mistake. Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. Always seek assistance from a certified mechanic to replace this part for you if you feel that you are not qualified.

Motorcraft / Original replacement part from ford. Install it, trust it no questions asked.
OEM Tensioner and pulley for 2006 Lincoln Town Car Executive L. Use the middle size ratchet and a short extension to plug in the square hole on tensioner and turn / loosen the tension on the belt. Loosen the belt off the alternator, loosen the 10mm bolt to remove old tensioner, place new tensioner in alignment notch on timing cover, finger thread the bolt in the center then tighten it after you align the tensioner tab into timing cover. Use the ratchet again in the tensioner to move it and place your belt back on and it's done. Motorcraft OEM part, no worries, no questions, no problems. I did this with a Michelin groved idler pulley and a gates belt to stop that little squeak the 4.6 makes when the belt system is old. Also rebuilt my alternator for extra piece of mind and it does not make a sound.

Easy to change out and works great
My concern was whether it's really Motorcraft however I am no longer concerned. It works great and at a cheaper price than I could purchase it from my local Ford dealer. Purchase this and you will be happy.

This was a great fit in my car
Learned a new trick. Rather than the offset end prybar to lessen up the tension. This takes a 3/8 inch extension ratchet to do the same job but much safer than using a pry bar. I also was not able to even get close to it with my pry bar before I had the YouTube it and find out that it actually could be done this way. What a game changer.

Fits my 2008 Ford Crown Victoria perfectly. I had a rattle on cold start up that I thought was the timing chain tensioners, but it turned out to be the old worn out belt tensioner. The noise is gone now. My car has 188,000 kilometers.
