Immersive story and amazing universe
I thoroughly enjoyed Reaper's Lottery. It had me hooked for hours on end.The art definitely increases your immersion, acting as a guide to what a scene should resemble while also leaving the door open for your own imagination. This enhances the story tenfold because it generally just makes the world better. The art puts you in the story by showing you the scene. The universe is very, very interesting and leaves you wanting to know more about it. Reaper's Lottery no doubt adds to the expansive universe of the geroo. Again, the art really enhances this by showing the universe visually in addition to textually. I look forward to seeing more of the geroo universe in the books to come.I recommend Reaper's Lottery to everyone for any reason. Just buy it. It's really good, and it's really fun to read.

Superb sci-fi murder mistery novel
I've read Gre7g previous works in this sci-fi universe, and this one was just as good. The author knows how to write an engaging cast of characters to get attached to and an engaging plot with some great twists in it.I planned on reading it slowly...and then I binge read it in less than a week.Tori is a geroo in a massive space ship that's self sustaining and things go well most of the time. Except that there's been a murder, and there's no clear explanation on why someone would kill that person. Thing start escalating from there, as more things that do not add up begin to show up. Even though she's no detective, Tori ends up trying to solve this mess due to what is in stake if she doesn't try (you should read to find out what that is). There are many emotional moments and the illustrations help showing some of them, so that's a big plus.In essence, this is an enjoyable read from start to finish, so I'd suggest picking it up.

Teared up at the end.... Again.
This is the final book I've read in the Geroo series. The level of world building and consistency in all these stories is fantastic. It's hard not calling my iPhone a 'strand' lately. I can't wait for the next book (or three?) in the Tori mystery series. The Kanti cycle books I became obsessed with reading. It was so hard to ration out how much I read each day since I knew there were only so many books! And Reaper's Lottery is it! It's the end of the road until more books are written!!!! Oh gods!

Suspense and Heart in Equal Measure!
This book easily stands as one of my favorite pieces of fiction, independent or otherwise. The attention to character growth and development, creating a working, winding mystery to unfurl, and maintaining a solid pace make for an engaging and electrifying read. This story works equally well as a jumping off point for a new adventure and a standalone tale, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Great story, great characters, great images - a joy for the genre
This is the story of Tori, a young anthropomorphic alien passing her days between work, family and friends. Tori's people, the geroo, have been enslaved on a starship for centuries and have adapted their lives to the chilling demands of bondage. Tori has a small group of friends, some tangible and some virtual, with whom she shares a passion for the animated 'manga' of other vanished alien races. Her story begins when a near-stranger suddenly delivers to her a long-banned manga, possession of which can be punished by public flogging and imprisonment. The characters and their relations to each other are the true gem of this novel. The author clearly has a touch for the richness and complexity of the human drama and has spun that experience into wonderful vignettes - the strained and failing domestic partnership, the bantering and happy multi-generational family, the grieving friend who cannot be reached. The inner workings of Tori's mind, from social ambivalence to panic to just trying to make sense of her world are richly detailed and deeply engaging. This novel is an easy read, the chapters are well contained and digestible, and if the story hasn't grabbed hold of your attentions in a chapter or two, give it a chance, because it only gets better.Like nearly all anthropomorphic literature, this story is prone to some of the tropes of the genre- frequent descriptions of physical features and perhaps a little too much sex-of-the-mind are of note. But none of it distracts from the intertwined story lines (there are at least two), and the imagery goes a long way to paint mental portraits of the characters- what they look like, what they feel, and what they want. When Tori's mysterious friend reveals his secret hobby to her, one cannot helped but be moved by the sheer beauty of it's imagery. If this sort of tale sounds of interest to you, consider giving Reaper's Lottery a shot. This writer's talent for story, characters, and imagery is shocking in it's balance and craft. You won't come away disappointed. I wasn't.

A must have for anyone interested in amazing story telling!
The Reaper's Lottery was my first experience in reading one of Gre7g Luterman's works and I am astonished by the amount of heart and precision that was put into the story. Despite having no prior knowledge of the universe the characters are in, the story is accessible enough that one could easily follow along and get immersed immediately. The plot, the characters and the overall universe are all world class worthy. This story was quite the journey and I definitely will be looking into the author's other works. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this book to anyone interested in its genre or is just looking for the next thrilling story to dive into.

A solid murder mystery with some interesting quirks
Note: this was typed on a kindle paperwhite, so... yeah. I enjoyed reading this book. It wasn't immediately engaging, but it the story grows on you as you read. The characters were nice, the story is clever and the world is interesting. It may not be quite as fun as the Kanti Cycle books, but the book certainly is worth reading. I would definintely reccomend picking it up.

Best
This book is a must read, it kept me turning the pages from start to finish, I didn't stop reading it until I got to the end. Gre7g found a way to combine two stories into one without causing any confusion. This book isn't just good, it is a masterpiece. If you are looking for a good read, don't hesitate on buying this book. I can see that he poured his heart and soul into this book and it definitley shows.
