Wonderful and great information on Aaron. I truly enjoyed reading the facts and history of Caleb and the life He led. Great information on the life of Silas and the journeys He took. Inspiring facts that told more of their lives and their journeys and walks with their God and their work for the light in the world and to share God's love among those who are lost. Highly recommend her books for anyone looking for a great and woman of faith to inspire you with her wisdom and inspiring storytelling from the Bible.

My favorite author wrote a brilliant series of stories about men from the bible in a way that is relatable and historically accurate. This book is hard to put down!!

Francine Rivers brings the Bible alive with stories of people.You can relate with them. While the books are somewhat historical,they also gives a picture of today ‘s time. The people become real.It shows that mankind is more similar than not. That we all should follow the 10 Commandments & the world would be Love. That God is a forgiving God. Our Father will forgive or sins, but we must follow him.

This is another well-written novel by Francine Rivers. It is historically significant to share what the life of Silas was like as he strived to share the Good News of Jesus Christ our Savior.

The print is small and light print. I’m 85 and my eyes aren’t what they use to be even with glasses. But I love Author Francine Rivers’ writings. The stories come to life! Her writings bless me so much. It’s worth the effort and time as I receive greater understanding and love for the Word of God

Wow, just wow!! Another amazing novel by my truly favorite author. This is five books in one. All well researched and wonderfully written. There is something special about the way that these stories are told. Francine Rivers brings these men to life with such detail, I feel as though I actually knew them, personally. Even though these stories are fictional, the characters are not. Reading this book has given me a greater understanding of God's word and I feel that His message is clearer having read Sons of Encouragement. I highly recommend this collection of stories for anyone who wants to grow closer to the Lord and/or enjoys biblically based fiction.

I love the way Francine Rivers tells a story. It puts your mind in a place where you can actually imagine what these men and women went through during their time, and how their lives actually connect to ours. It makes me so grateful that I have my savior Jesus Christ, and to know that He has already paid the price for my sins! It also reminds me that I sin every single day in so many ways…and that these people from our past were no different than we are now. We think life now is so hard, yet I can’t even imagine living in their time.

Amazingly profound. We must steer clear of man-made interpretations of the PURE WORD. These novellas, within the faithful adherence to the TRUE SCRIPTURAL FRAMEWORK are duly ministering, written as they are with raw emotion, depth & sheer manifestation of faith, actions & repercussions which the protagonists Aaron, Caleb, Amos, Jonathan & Silas go through. The experience of words is of the scale of a spectacular cinematography-- Superb!!

Even if parts of the story are "just" fiction (and you should always keep that in mind when reading) the book was very challenging in a positive sense. Specially the first story about Aaron ...

Yet again Francine Rivers has produced a wonderful book. Once started I couldn't put it down. All the characters came to life giving a fuller meaning to the Bible stories. I love all of the books I have read from Francine and am now looking forward to my next. Don't hesitate, all her books are great.
