Flagpole Deck/Dock Mount

Our rooftop deck is subject to high wind gusts. We have lost umbrellas, and had a glass patio table top break when the umbrella lifted and torqued inside the glass hole of the table top smashing it. We had a 50 or 60 pound weight holding down our umbrella for the past few years, but it’s ugly, you kick it with your feet, and it didn’t allow us to push our table chairs all the way in. This mount solves all of those problems.If you are OK with screwing in to the top of your deck, and if you are OK leaving your table in one place, this is the most stable mount you were going to find. The price is right also! I have seen the same type of product marketed as a patio umbrella base for $60-$80 or more.I drilled through the umbrella pole so that the set screw in the base would go all the way through preventing it from lifting or turning. We also have a rubber cone wedge which we also bought on Amazon that is perfect for the table top. The pole slides through it and holds it snug. I highly recommend this as it prevents the umbrella from wobbling or tipping even more.The base and mount are very sturdy construction. The base plate is thick and has six holes. I used lag screws and washers to attach it to the deck. The vertical pole portion threads down into the base, so you could remove it if you needed to. You can see from the photographs that there is a reveal so the base isn’t exactly flush.We spray-painted It To match the color of the pole. Overall it is a much cleaner look and is the sturdiest you are going to find anywhere.

I have 2 of these on my deck. One holds a half umbrella in front of the door, the other is next to my grill/smoker area because you can’t count on dry weather in northeast Ohio. I just leave the sleeve attached when I take the umbrella down and all that’s left is the low base that doesn’t get in the way of anything. Keep a shower from spoiling your 8 hour brisket cook!

Would be 5 stars except for the label they put on their product.Absolutely Horrible to get off, a clear coat sticker easily removes, them the paper has to be wet, scraped with a knife.We understand that you want advertising on your product, but on my Deck, not so much.Either skip the advertising sticker or make one easy to remove.

We wanted a way to fly the flag at the camp ground and this one was super easy to install and come with what we needed. This is a must if you are looking for a flag pole for the RV.

I'm using thus to hold two top rail fence pipe that are 11 foot each making them 22 foot as a TV antenna mast at the base on my deck that's 8 foot off the ground giving me a total TV antenna height of 30 feet. Near the top of the pipe in the mount I have a threaded rod that connects a pipe support clamp to a pipe support bracket. We have had winds of 50MPH gusts and nothing has moved. If you're going to use the pipe bracket as part of something permanent as I have I suggest drilling a 1/4 inch hole in the base so water can drain right out when it's raining so that water doesn't fill it up causing rust and rot. Put the bracket in a vise upside down before drilling if you have a vise available.

Tube won’t screw all the way in. I’m going to order another one and see if it will screw all the way in.

I use this as part of a portable indoor volleyball pole holder. I attached it to a piece of plywood for the base, put rollers on the bottom and it is highly functional for my elementary P.E. class.

I wanted this to mount an umbrella on a dock by salt water. I bought it because it's aluminum and didn't want it to rust. The weld looks good. Haven't attached it yet, but did size it to a 10 foot umbrella pole and it fits well. Our pole is just under 1 5/8, and there is a little slack, so a slightly larger pole would work, but not a 2 inch. If there are any changes after we mount it and give it some time, we'll update. But it is what we were looking for and seems well made. I also like I can use either 6 screws or bolts. I thought there was only 4 holes to mount, but there are 6.
