Solid and well-made umbrella stand
Good, sturdy umbrella base. Easy to fill. Relatively easy to maneuver. Only two of the four wheels roll, so it could be a bit finicky getting it in the right direction. But overall, I’m very happy with this product

Great Product
Best product I have purchased in a very long time.I have raised Trex deck in a VERY windy area.I was in the market for a mobile umbrella stand that could withstand the wind. I found it - The Shademobile. Made in the USA. Easy, yet explicit instructions. Good hardware and they even include the proper drill bit used in assembly. I opted for the brick and sand 125 lb option. Easy assembly - done in no time.Hi quality wheels - (2) locking, that do not mar the Trex deck. Highly recommend.

Easy to assemble, easy to use
Works great, I have a couple of these. They assemble easily without tools and have an adaptor to adjust to different post sizes

Absolutely excellent design, quality and, best of all, customer service!
I did have some difficulty prior to beginning assembly. I took all the parts out of the box and laid them out so I could ensure I had everything. I found a little note from Mr. David Taylor. He is the President, CEO, Owner, or something of that stature, and the note welcomed personal notes from the customer if anything at all was wrong. so, I sent an email to him and immediately (about an hour later) got a reply. My question was regarding how well the "walls" of the "stop-sign" shaped internal compartment sealed against the mating walls of the same shaped base unit. All the bricks and sand are placed in the top (upside-down) and the base is then screwed into the top before turning it up to install the receptacle for the umbrella pole. He assured me it worked, and it did. I also had a self-inflicted issue with the brick purchase. I wrote down the dimensions of the recommended bricks and went to Lowe's & Home Depot to find twelve. The bricks they had were red clay and looked like the "old brick" that the instructions suggest. But they were smaller than the dimensions by 1/4" to 1/2". So I went home empty bricked. After calling around, I re-looked at the instructions and noticed for the first time the word "Max..." at the beginning of the brick specifications. Ooooh. My mistake. Gotta read the directions carefully, including adjectives. So I went to a local masonry company and found a stack of left-over red bricks. They too were smaller than the MAXIMUM size, but guess what? Sand goes into larger cracks just as easily as smaller ones.Once I had everything bought (I got a 50# bag of "Play Sand" and used about 60% of it, and the requisite 12 bricks), and laid out on an old blanket along with my trusty electric screwdriver, it took me less than an hour to assemble. And I am no bricklayer or skilled assembler - as you may note from the above paragraph. There was a previous review where the person discussed how it was hard to maneuver it to install the umbrella pole receptacle. My wife and I both have bad backs, but I did exactly as the instructions instruct, and the unit easily turned onto its edge with the blanket making it a smooth effort. My wife steadied it and held the receptacle while I fastened it from the other side. Done!!Another word in the instruction pamphlet was "...set" in the illustrated parts list where the "reducer" was listed. My umbrella pole was 1.75" diameter (actually slightly larger). The only reducer I found was a 1.50" piece, already placed into the receptacle so dummies like me could visualize how it is installed. Uh oh, I need 1.75" or larger! I dug around for several hours to see if I missed some receptacles when emptying the box. I finally sent an email to David and, again, almost instantly got a reply that he apologized deeply for not having the reducer SET in the package, and he would have it shipped to me first thing the next morning. So I cleaned things up and installed my umbrella in the sloppy-fit stand just to see how it looked. After cleaning things up, I happened to walk by where I had the box and wrappings. "Uh oh" once again. I leaped for the email and fired off a mea culpa note to David, saying I just found a three-receptacle SET laying right where the box was tossed during my search. I told David I would pay for the shipping if he already had it sent, and apologized to him. He instantly replied to me that he caught it in time and it was not sent - and then thanked me for my note. The Shademobille base rolls perfectly on our not-so-perfectly-level wooden deck. It has the 125# version of weight. Our 11' three panel umbrella works perfect in the base. We have a lot of wind here, and the base holds the umbrella with a strong grip and no slop (the Velcro hook that comes with the kit really does wonders). The quality of the unit both design-wise and workmanship is five-star.I am so pleased about the product design, its quality, and now, my experience in customer service extraordinaire.Just so you know: I researched literally dozens of competing umbrella bases, and had a high recommendation for the Shademobile from my brother-in-law and his wife (who works at a library and did significant research as well). We all learned that David Taylor has The Winner in his Shademobile® product and his excellent service.

Almost perfect for seven years
Very good quality. Bought in 2018. One of the brakes started going after about a year. The second one a few years later. Now just this week the front wheels have lost their rubber and while happening leaving black marks on my pool deck. I’m going to see if we can replace the front wheels which rotate 360 making this very easy to maneuver even when full of pea gravel. Not too bad for almost seven years. I also love the ability to hold bigger diameter posts.

I would give the quality of this product 100 stars if it were possible.
I bought my first shademobile 9 years ago and my second a year later. I added a photo of them after all those years out constantly in the Georgia sun. They still look great and work perfectly. When you buy this product you will get a letter from the inventor telling you that he believes in quality over quantity and let me tell you that is completely evident when you see the superb quality of this product. These are not cheap plastic but some kind of quality resin and how they don't fade out completely and become dry and brittle in the sun still amazes me. I just bought four more in black this time. I wanted to purchase directly from the company website and was so disappointed to learn due to a nationwide resin shortage they are out of stock and don't know for sure when production will resume again. I saw these on amazon and called the company to see if the product that I saw was authentic. I wanted nothing other than the superb quality of the product I purchased many years ago. I was amazed to get a real person who spoke English answered the phone on the first ring and was so pleasant and helpful. The person I spoke with told me what they were selling on amazon was indeed authentic and would be the same quality product I expected. The prices on Amazon are inflated due to the hold on production. That left me with a choice either wait for production to begin again or pay the inflated price on amazon. I choose to purchase from amazon because I needed them now but never once considered buying anything else even though there are cheaper versions of rolling umbrella bases available. The quality of the product I recieved was in fact the same superb quality as the product I bought 9 years ago. I truly believe from how the two I purchased previously have held up this product will last a lifetime. If you are worried about the stability of this product or worried about a gust of wind blowing them in your pool like I was don't. They are amazingly stable. One time I knew I had left the umbrellas up with the wheels not locked and close to the edge of my pool. A thunderstorm rolled in carrying 60 mile an hour winds. I was sure when I got home I would find them on the bottom of my pool but they had not moved. The fact that my umbrellas where tiered probably helped that day and I suggested buying a tiered umbrella if these will be close to you pool. I don't worry at all now with the wheels locked on a level surface these bases filled with bricks and sand like suggested in the 125# method aren't going anywhere short of some crazy powerful winds. They are a little harder to roll if you use the 125# method but easy enough still and easy to roll was not my goal since they sit so close to my pool. I would also suggest the marine screws pack available on the company website if you have a saltwater pool like I do because the screws that hold the part the umbrella sits in did rust through and I had to replace them a few years ago. This is a made in America small business that has never sacrificed quality for profit and supporting them makes me feel awesome also.
