Q: WHERE IS THE TIMER MANUFACTURED?

I no longer have this timer as it was a piece of junk. But as I remember it was made in China.

Q: Does it uses battery? ?

No, it does not use batteries. You turn it all the way to 60 then back to the minutes you want and that winds it.

Q: are the internal works made of metal or plastic? old one my mom had was made of metal and lasted. plastic inner works I bought lasted 3 'times' !!

The large numbers works for me very well. The time is mostly plastic but it makes it light. It works well as well.

Q: do you have to wind it up or go directly to desired time?

You have to wind the timer all the way to 0 (zero) first and then wind back to the desired time. Other than that, the timer is OK and has a longer ring than most I've used throughout the years.
