Excellent choice
Invaluable tools for crimping. The cutter can get through any wire thickness with ease. And the crimper works for ferrules as big as 3/16. Very good value for the price.

Good tool for light-duty cable crimping
This is a well built tool that will do a good job for general purpose use in crimping ferrules to smaller wire rope assemblies. I used it to make crimps on 1/8" standard wire rope, and it worked well for the 24 or so crimps I had to do for my project. In my opinion, if you're doing professional cable assembly it might be best to spend a bit more on a tool that will stand up to heavy use. The cutter tool included did well cutting 1/8" wire rope, no complaints there. Well made combo for the price paid.

Decent wire rope tool set (see details). Recommended
I got the IWISS Wire Rope Tool with Wire Rope Cutter for a guide wire project I was doing with 1/8" stainless steel rope. I figured that the crimper would work with the aluminum loop sleeves I bought, while the cutter tool would save some wear and tear on the cutter on my large pliers.Considering that the crimper goes from 1/16" UP TO the size I was using (1/8"), I figured that the required force was going to be on the high side. As it turns out, the force is manageable, but the tool is a bit unwieldy when fully open. Keeping the wire rope from sliding through the sleeve, keeping yourself stable on a ladder, and trying to crimp the sleeve properly without the crimp going out of perpendicular with the sleeve, is a bit of a workload to keep sorted out. I thought about changing the cam profile, to lessen the actuating force, but it does require tools to do (which I didn't have on the ladder with me). By the time I was back around my toolbox, I'd forgotten all about it. The cutter works great. Recommended.

Easy to use, even for the meeker among us
I don’t quite top 100lbs and am not very strong - atrophied muscles through chronic illness, blah, blah. However, I still like working on projects and DIYs - so the right tool selections are essential for me.To that end, this iCrimp Swaging Tool was easy for me to use. I used 1/16" steel cables with hourglass sleeves and turned out perfectly round, secure crimps. There are cheaper ones out there, but they're only 10" long. I figured the 15" length would offer better leverage and reduce the force I needed to apply. There are beefier ones out there (30” long, bench mount,…), but I wanted something simple to store, pull out, and make quick crimps for simple projects. This swage tool fits the bill. I can easily use it on a small platform on my lap.Tips:- Wrap some masking tape around your cable before cutting it to keep it from fraying.- Always wear a good pair of leather gloves.

Priced right Esentail to repair garage Door cables
I had a garage door spring break and decided to just replace both of course while at it redoing all the cables pulleys etc, so I needed this rather quickly and didn't what to spend an arm and a leg. The crimper and cutter are absolutely essential to do the job right. These were much better tools than I expected for the price and I was very pleased! They made the job easier and better than using the threaded U bolt style cable clamps, on my doors there were places where the bolt clamps would simply have not worked/fit. Crimping the swags is not "easy" and I'd not want to do it all day with this size manual crimper but for a garage door or two it's fine. Good tool and a great price, the cost of the springs, hardware and these tools I am sure I saved a couple of hundred bucks tackling the job myself.

They work really well...For me.
I am a theatrical technical director and have used many brands of crimpers and cutters. I used this set to rig three productions so far and counting. That's dozens of cuts and crimps. This thing is wonderful. It's compact size is easier for me to get in tight or high places. Although, the shorter handles do require a bit more force. Not a problem for me but, may be for others. If you are using this crimper for structural or flying purposes I have two points. You should be using a go-no go gauge, as often as you can. This thing does NOT come with one. (It should). That said, I have a few spare gauges and this crimper works very well. It's way easier to adjust as well. The second point is, I've read some of the reviews and it is clear that many people don't know how wire rope accessories work. Not all swaging sleeves are rated. Not all wire rope is alike. The markings on the tool are clear. I/8th inch refers to the diameter of the wire rope. You should educate yourself or leave it to the professionals, you run the risk of injury or worse. The cutters are tricky, here is a trade secret. If you use the cutters properly, they will last a long time. Seriously, as with any of these cutters, if you don't keep the tool perpendicular to the wire rope when cutting force is applied, you will trap the individual wires in the rope. This widens the pivot which lossens the tool and makes cutting impossible. But that is user error. All of these cutters behave this way including felco.Just pay attention and enjoy.
