Excellent watch!
I bought this watch as a replacement for the one I've used for over 12 years and still works fine, but the replacement band not so much. These watches last for a long time, and they keep accurate time. I used the first one for years as a soccer referee, and it was light-weight and easy to use while running. I use it while working out, and I'm not afraid to use it in the rain (maybe not a deluge, but most "regular amounts" of rain prove no problem). It includes both a stopwatch and a countdown timer, and it has three different alarms. I highly recommend it.

Love the watch. Functionality and reasonable price point.
We are dedicated Timex Expedition users - have been for decades. Tons of features, timers, alarms, chrono. Two time zones, for those who travel and/or have out-of-state/country relatives. Nite-Glo. Water resistance. Cons: The inner workings have changed over time. Over a decade ago I could change the battery and it still would function. Now it's hit or miss on battery replacement. Also, changing the battery breaks the seal, and water resistance is no longer guaranteed.

Good cheap watch.
It’s a simple timex that does what it needs to do. I love the dual time feature.

Band not as long as I would like.
Nice watch, easy to set and navigate. My only complaint is I wish the band was longer, I barely get it on the last hole which restricts my hands range of motion.

Great wrist-watch at a wonderful price!
I originally purchased this wrist-watch at Wal-mart for about half the price currently listed; at the moment they seem to be having technical difficulties on their website. I love how comfortable and functional the watch is and most importantly it tells time accurately. I would really recommend this product to anyone and I find that the fact that it is made in the Phillipines is very interesting. I presume the popularity of 3-dimensional printing is going to make it easier to replace and create not only medical devices but also, parts on watches as well ad give designers the option and capability to re-create past models and it'll be interesting to see how manufacturers will prevent intellectual property from being stolen iternationally. Basically, an excellent watch for the price, I'd buy this watch again and I did but I happened to find the one I had lost (return process was simple and easy). I was even able to replace the battery for $10 which was over half the cost of the purchase price but it was well worth it, if you're on the fence concerning this purchase, I say go for it!

A Timely Discovery
After buying a very disappointing Casio el cheapo, first bad one I've ever had but it was royally bad, tended to reset itself if you placed it face down on the counter for example.... I ended up with this watch as a replacement. Wish I had seen this one first. The face is large and friendly. The display is both high contrast and suitably large print. I am getting older and it's nice not to have to squint. Even the secondary data like day and month are larger than many digital watches' main display yet the overall size is not humunguous. I like a large watch as I have large wrists and hands and this does not overwhelm. It's a bit thick and a little plasticky but it's not a Cartier or even a Seiko and I didn't buy it for elegance. The backlighting takes a bit of getting used to as it shows the dial in reverse, like a photo negative for those of you who actually remember photo negatives. :) But a couple of days on and I'm fine with it, The normal watch face is of such a contrast that I only need to use the backlight in real darkness and once you get used to the different look, it's not a problem to read at all. It's alleged to be waterproof to 100 meters but you must take that with a major grain of salt with anything but a genuine diving watch. If it survives an occasional dunk in the sink or a swim I will be happy. Watchband: The watchband is Velcro with a touch of something neoprene-like at the tip of the "belt" It's a bit awkward as the band doubles back through a "keeper" like the strap on a backpack and the whole thing is a bit thick and not easy to do one-handed. My wrist is thick enough I can't just undo the Velcro part, I have to slip the entire band out of the "belt" to take it off. A nuisance but not a fatal one, if your wrists are smaller you won't even notice. if my wrist was any larger, the band would not fit as it is extended almost to the Neoprene tab at the end, Other reviews have commented on this as well. I haven't yet played with the various inevitable extra features: stop watch, alarm, microwave oven etc. I rarely use them so I can't comment but as a nice, basic watch for everyday knockabout use, I am well pleased and the price is quite reasonable. You can spend more and get worse. Casio used to be my cheap watch of choice but their quality seems to have diminished badly. I haven't had a Timex since I was a kid (and that was long enough ago that you wound the watch by hand) but perhaps I've been away too long, I like this watch, it's not fancy but it works. Update 8/2015: Since I bought this I have started doing volunteer work at a local aquarium. Once a week, this watch is regularly dipped (up to my elbow) in salt water for minutes at a time and it's holding up fine. The band is getting worn and some of the rubbery parts are turning white, probably from the salt so it's definitely not the watch for classy evening wear now. No question it is water-proof for this level of use (up to about three feet deep with lots of activity) and I like it even more now. Update - May 2016- Keeps on trucking. Weekly salt water dunks continue with no problem whatsoever. Plastic case is showing tiny nicks and dents from rough usage and banging on the rocks. Velcro bajnd still works fine but has turned a sort of weathered "salt and pepper color". Update - Almost November 2016 - Velcro on the watch band has almost given up the ghost. Barely sticks now. I take it off and put it on at least once a day so I guess the "hook and loop" material is just worn out. A replacement band will probably cost as much as the watch so it may be time (no pun intended) to replace this one. On the plus side, the same battery is still going strong. Can't beat this watch overall for value. Great value in a basic every day watch. No longer even vaguely suitable for wearing with a good suit to the Symphony but it's a primo work-a-day watch.

Indiglo Doesn't Work Out of the Box
Timex Expedition has been my go-to for years. This is at least number seven, but it was DOA. The light doesn't work. How long was this sitting on the shelf, Amazon? Thing is, I have three Expeditions in the drawer already that keep time but don't light up anymore. Yes, I replaced the batteries. I don't need a brand new one that does the same thing. Make that four in the drawer - I also have a silver one to wear to church. I replaced that one because it finally quit. The replacement lights up brightly. The new Expedition however is not bright enough. You can read it in bright light, or in complete darkness with the light. But in dim light you cannot read it with or without the light. Take notice Amazon - I am tired of having to order two of everything to get one that works. I already buy everything I can at brick and mortar stores because I can see that it works. I couldn't find a Timex at Target so I came here. If I must order online, I have choices. I can order from you, Walmart, Best Buy or Kohls. Amazon Prime has nothing to watch unless I pay extra, so what's the point? Start managing your suppliers. Sears and K-mart have failed. You are not exempt.

This was a birthday gift for my brother, who is in long-term care with a brain injury. He loved it - demanding that I put it on him the minute he saw what it was. He has always worn a watch from the Timex Expedition digital line - despite the brain injury, he was able to immediately tell me the time and date (which I set ahead of time), the moment he had it on. (It's amazing what he can and can't remember). Very happy with this purchase. Very nice looking watch - and SO many functions ... I'd recommend! SIDE NOTE: The watch arrived loose in a box that looked used. The plastic "stand" you see watches displayed on was broken inside the box. I was afraid the watch would be damaged, but it seemed ok .

Its will withstand Bomb blasts Automatic fire Sniping It will absorbe shocks that will make a seasoned soldier shiver due to adrenaline but this watch will stand its ground and take all that abuse, be it water, desert altitudes like 16000 feet above sea level. It will not stop , its accurate. Plus in war the battery will last you years....... Way more than a solider WILL. Its cheap durable and just wonderful. Buy it today.
