Great Watch!
I bought this watch after the resin strap on my old Armitron watch broke. I was disappointed to find that armitron doesn't make my old watch anymore, so I had to find a replacement. I did extensive research and finally settled on this watch. I needed a rugged, waterproof, backlit, time-and-date + day of week watch. I also needed a watch with a durable strap, because the resin strap sport watches only last 2 or 3 years, which is how long I had my old one. I love the mid-size design of this watch. It fits well and looks really cool. I bought a used like-new one because it was cheaper and it arrived in perfect condition, just without the instructions or original packaging. It is easy to set, easy to read, and the backlighting is just the right brightness. Setting it accurately is tricky, but I've developed my own system to only be one second off, if that. The band is slightly itchy, but it should break in. Overall, I love my new watch and I'm happy that I found something that can take a beating and still work!

Good Sport Watch
This is a good sport watch. I wear these to work in all sorts of conditions...and they take a beating. I have to get the unisex watches/bands as I have thick wrists for a woman and women's watchbands generally don't fit me. I can't wear the metal watch bands because when I flex my wrist they break. I can't wear the leather bands because when I sweat the band just deteriorates and falls apart. These woven bands are just perfect. I also like that it is velcro. That way you can adjust it perfectly to your wrist. I have worn these watches for nearly 15 years. It has two time functions - so that you can have regular time and maybe the time in another country. It has a split lap stop watch so that you can time each lap as well as your full run. Time, date, alarm, and hour beep if you so desire. It also has a back light which is really handy to tell time in the dark. Only problem with that is at about the year mark, the battery is so low that the light will come on, but the numbers disappear. But, well, it is what it is. Some reviewers have complained that the band is rather small fitting around the wrist. I am a woman and I bought a womans Timex once. The band was EXTREMELY small and barely fit me at all. It would come off a lot of the time because there was barely any velcro to wrap around. This watch is probably more of a unisex watch. Not a woman's per se, but not a big man's watch either. It is about in the middle. I have a 7.5" wrist and that is about as large of a wrist that this watch will fit. The women's watch that I had previously had would only fit a 7" wrist.

Practically Perfect
This is a great little watch. It’s legible, light on the wrist, and understated in design. It features everything I look for in a digital watch: water resistance to at least 100M, three customizable alarms that are loud enough to be practical, countdown timer, dual time zones, stopwatch, 12 and 24-hour modes, Indiglo, and non-proprietary lugs. It is 33mm in diameter and has a thin profile; both things I see as a plusses. As a pro tip -- this watch pairs well with the Barton Watch Bands Elite Silicone strap designed for the 16mm lug width common to the much lauded, but less functional, Casio G-Shock family of watches.

Good Watch; Bad Strap
The watch is like many other I've worn, Timex included, and has all the features I want in a standard watch. I like the colors which are very similar to my last Timex which I've had to abandon due to failure of the wrist band after many years of daily use and the dearth of stores which replace straps. The watch itself is reliable and works well, but I do not like the velcro strap. I have very small wrists and searched a lot before deciding on this watch with an adjustable strap unhindered by the placement of buckle and holes. However, the strap is still too big to fit me well and it is tedious to align both sides of the velcro. Also, the velcro will catch my sleeves or other parts of my clothing every now and then and is avoidable only through meticulous placment of the two sides of velcro. I myself can't replace a strap with a better one because I don't know how, but if you can and have large enough wrists, then this may be the watch for you. If the manufacture or anyone else knows where one can purchase a small wrist band where the sellers will remove the one that I now have with a new, better fitting one, I wish there were a way that you could tell me. I do wish the watch were flatter because my sleeves are hard to move back and forth over it and it's also in the way of typing on my computer as well as tucking sheets in between mattress and headboard. (I can't rate the light because I haven't yet looked for the switch, and its water resistance I can't comment upon because I have not and will not subject the watch to water.)

Easy to set and comfortable watch
I love these watches. I especially like that they have 3 alarm options. I think I received a return because the watch was already running and kind of shoved in the box. But it seems to be working well so I will keep it.

They charge $30.00 for warranty repair!
I have purchased many Timex Expedition Digital watches in the past, however the last two, this being the most recent, died after only a few months. Since the watch was still well within warranty, I sent it to Timex for warranty repair. Several weeks go by and I receive an email with a request for $30.00 for warranty repair, at the price they will make a profit on my warranty repair. WTF? I did not pay it. Several weeks go by and I my watch is returned to me, still not working. Come on Timex, for the effort that we both went through to send this watch back and forth, you should have sent me a replacement at no charge. So much for Timex warranty's. I switched to Casio, BTW, three month after my Casio purchase, it has stopped also. We'll see what kind of service they have.

Does everything most people need at a tiny fraction of the cost
This watch does everything most people need at a tiny fraction of the cost of tech watches--it tells time (what an idea for a watch!), and has date, day of week, alarm, stop watch, and dual time zone times. Easy to navigate. It is much easier to read than far more expensive watches. Keep it simple stupid applies. (And no, I am no Luddite, but a software designer and with multiple inventions.)

The Casio F91 is known as a cheap watch but worth it. A simple alarm and stopwatch and worn by lots of people. The downside of this watch is the very small strap which barely fits my massive wrist. This Timex Expedition digital also has a small strap but it is a long one meaning that people like me get a watch that is going to stay on my wrist and not pop off if I catch it on something. This watch also boasts 24 hours stopwatch, 24 hour countdown timer, 3 alarms, hourly beep, dual time zone, large display (so at least you can see the numbers), 100m water resistance, indiglo backlight and a nightlight and the winner for me is that you can have your time format day month instead of month day like most watches do. Timex do some really nice affordable watches in their expedition range notably the green one which is their best seller. This digital should be in that category, because it’s comfortable to wear at work and for when you’re at home. It does feel very light and that strap may feel like it’s going to break, but for the moment it’s doing a good job.
