You cant see far at all, its not a camera, and its fun as a high priced toy basically. I am going with a non thermal version.

Save up for the higher models. While these may work well for flat open terrain, it leaves a lot to be desired for wooded hilly land.

I'm super happy with this FLIR scope. While it is certainly far from the top of the line equipment, this beats those night vision scopes that are sold at local sporting goods stores a hundred times over. The battery life is great. It's a bare minimum FLIR device, but it does what it says well. It's on the expensive side, but anything FLIR you'll be paying top dollar for anyways. You get what you pay for and while this was expensive, I'm very happy with its performance.

Rugged shockproof construction, stunning resolution, easy to use and gives you the keys to the night and all it's denizens. Rechargeable battery life lasts for hurs and hours. I charged mine about three weeks ago and it's still 3/4 full after much use. This thing is sick.
