Loki is extremely hard on toys. Loki LOVES to play including bringing the toy back to me or leading me off to another room. The main “head”/ball part of this toy is the first so far that isn’t a swallow risk. In fact, Loki has to reposition it with a paw to carry it around.As other reviewers have mentioned, this is on the heavy side. I haven’t had an issue because I use a carbon fiber expandable rod.Loki LOVES this and has broken into the cabinet behind a closed door to “jail-break” this toy if that tells you anything.He also loves to gnaw on the dangly bits and hasn’t chewed any off yet. BONUS!Durable, yes. Thick, yes. Thankfully, the loop has held, so that appears to be durable also.Not shiny but definitely triggers his prey drive. Loki gives it 4 paws up (leapt over my head) and a full mouth. 🐾🐾😺

Our cats love these buffalo toys. The squids are their favorite but they like some variety so I love that CoolCyberCats has so many great lures! We put a new squid on the line tonight and our little boy screamed with excitement as soon as he saw it!

This one was a miss. The hairs came out first play. I had to help her get them out of her mouth and off her face. This guy didn’t hold up at all like the multi pack I got from the same company.

I bought this toy thinking my cats would love it since it would be a new fur to experience. In reality, they weren't that interested in it. I noticed it did have a non-leathery, non-fur smell to it...I can't put my finger on what it smells like but it didn't seem quite natural so I'm thinking that is what turned my kitties off. Just because my cats didn't like it doesn't mean others won't. My two kitties are extremely picky when it comes to toys. Other then my cats not being interested in it, it is built well and seems very sturdy.

Way too heavy for fishing pole toy. Fun for cat just as floor toy. Durable, realistic product.

My 12 year-old and 1 year-old cats really love this. I think my 1 year-old really like this as it is more life like than most toy mice. She was a feral who hunted for food before I took her in.
