Revell/Monogram F-4G Phantom II Wild Weasel Model Kit, Model:RM5994

The parts are accurately molded and have very little flash. They fit together as designed. Great value for a fairly complex 1/32 scale model. Good decals, too; although Viet Nam era rather than National Guard would be preferable. Not for toddlers.

Okay, are there better 1/32 scale F-4's out there? YES, but none of them offer this amount of detail for this price! I would go over the Pro's and Con's for this kit, but it has already been covered. The nose cone and radar fairing are not completely accurate. The fit is better than most Revell/Monogram kits but you will need putty around the wing roots and intake fairings. Again, the amount of detail and the cost make this kit a great buy. There are so many aftermarket upgrades available that even a professional modeler can find this kit to be more than perfect! I would not recommend this kit to any "rivet counters", but if you are building out of the box, this kit is 100% when it come to "bang for your buck"!!!

I have been searching for a very long time for this specific plane model. When my dad was in the Air Force, he worked on the F-4s, and when he got out, he went to work for McDonnell-Douglas building them. I will thoroughly enjoy building this. I have seen smaller models if this plane go for double what I paid for this one. I feel I have definitely gotten a great deal on it.

This kit has over 300 parts and at over 22” long it’s big. None of the parts are annoyingly small. Huge decal sheet with two somewhat similar schemes. Landing gear is sturdy enuf. The paint scheme is fairly easy with only 3 or 4 exterior colors. All parts fit well and the directions are clear. If u like scale 1/32 at a cheap price and a great kit get this.

This is the current best option for an inexpensive 1/32 scale Phantom that you can detail up. While it has inaccurate nose detail there's an aftermarket correction radome available. The place you'll have to put work in is the forward fuselage lower nose gear pan joint. It will require alignment and putty to get a seamless appearance. If you score the middle flaps off, you can drop them as if at rest. Fill in the leading edge of the flap with scrap runner and putty and a flat tab to install in the wing opening, or buy resin flaps. Either way it works. I wish they would bring back the recon version RF-4C/E. Great kit and much better than the 1970s release.

This kit is actually a pretty decent offering from Revell. The only issues I had with the build were from large gaps in panels, misaligned panels that needed to be corrected for a good fit and the lack of detailed information in the instructions. Some of the moldings could be better, but a decent file set and sandpaper was enough to correct most of that joints. I wanted to build the Nellis AFB version of the kit, but the instructions were vague on which set of armaments and canopy set to use. A little bit of online research took care of that. Some of the gaps between panels and sub-assemblies are large and will need to be filled during assembly. The decals are good enough quality to be used without a solvent or set solution, and look nice when applied. These issues are the only reasons the kit received four stars from me instead of five. Overall, the kit was enjoyable to build. The finished model is pretty large as described in other reviews, but that's what I was looking for in this kit.

This scale model 1:32 is the best model I have done so far , everything went on perfect. I love this model and planning to buy another one soon . I recommend this model to anyone. Had to wait a bit for it but was worth it. Excellent Excellent Excellent 110%

El modelo llego antes de tiempo en buenas condiciones, es del color del plástico de inyección base gris a excepción de las piezas transparentes. el instructivo viene completo y en buen estado y es muy claro en el montaje del modelo. No incluye pinturas ni pegamento. La caja es grande debido a la escala. Me encanto.

This is a reboxing of the original revell F4 with new decals. Ordnance should be the same as the old F4G. Great for people like me who didnt manage to get our grubby hands on the last F4G release
