MEADEInstruments 07507 USB to RS 232 (Serial) Adapter

This cable works flawlessly to connect my Meade LX200 GPS to a windows 7 and a window 10. My only issue is that it is grossly overpriced

I bought the cable to update my Meade Autostar 497 because my Dell XPS 1710M Laptop offers no serial port any more. The cable was Sent from California to Germany in a few days. Quality of the cable is ok but the Price is a bit expensive. Greetings from Germany. ;-)

The product quality appears to be good, but I just could not get this device to work with either my MAC or a PC. Probably a driver issue, but I did not have the patience to fight with it any longer. So, I ordered a Tripp Lite Keyspan based on reviews at some astronomy chat rooms, and that one worked good. I was able to return the Meade adapter to the seller for a refund.

This is necessary for use with a modern laptop. You can probably find one cheaper at your local huge computer store, but this is the one sold guaranteed to be the right gender for you autostar cables.

Needed this to connect small laptop to my Meade telescope..Correct move, good product, delivered as shown and on time.

The picture is not the same as what you get. I read this in the reviews and did not listen. Its on me.
