It depends on how high off the floor your bed is. It's not really the best item for going under a bed with it on. You should look into the donut type collars.

I would get the medium or large. The small one doesn’t fit my big fat cat’s neck.

It is a light cone. It worked pretty well but I would go with the inflatable cone. I recently ordered one, it looks to be more comfortable than this one.
