I love the ice machine. I use it daily for matcha iced latte, or just for a cold drink. It is perfect for at home use. If you want it to be for a business or produce more ice at a time, this is not the one. It produces 9 ice in 7 minutes.

We gave up on our refrigerator ice maker, and tried the silicone ice trays. We use so much ice that trays didn’t work so we decided to try an ice maker. This thing rocks....no pun intended. We chose a well known and reputable kitchen appliance maker like Hamilton Beach so we wouldn’t be annoyed or disappointed and I’m glad we did. We’re a week in using this machine and it’s fantastic. Makes ice quick and fresh. We transfer the ice to a long/tall Tupperware box that goes in the freezer and use a little metal meat mallet to breakup or crush the ice when we need it. The cubes stick together but we don’t care. Some us like crushed ice. We chose to make large cubes. They seem to last longer. The cubes are hollow if you’re wondering. We’re really happy and would highly recommend it.

It is a busy little machine. Within a few minutes of plugging it in and adding water, we had ice cubes. It was enough to fill 1/2 a 20 oz. glass. Our fridge doesn’t have a spot for an ice maker, so this was our solution. This machine will keep a small party in ice, which is why we purchased it.

Love It !! Got this to replace another icemaker. (My 4th one!). Out of all the ones I have had, this is the best one by far! Besides looking good on my countertop, it performs great! It can make cubes pretty darn fast! And, I can fill a large ice bucket in about a little over an hour! My other ones took about 3+ hours. Would highly recommend it!!!

I would give this zero stars if Amazon would let me. The unit makes ice in a reasonable amount of time, and it stays longer before melting than other ice makers that I have owned. It is very loud though. This is the second Hamilton Beach ice maker of this model that I have owned. The first lasted two years. So I bought another one just like it. Two years was longer than any of the other brands of portable ice makers that I have owned lasted. My second Hamilton Beach ice maker, the one that I currently own, lasted only 41/2 months before the pump went out (that is how the first one I owned failed). Still it was in warranty and Hamilton Beach is a reputabe company right? Wrong!! I tried to contact their customer support via phone. I got disconnected after waiting for ten minutes so I put in a warranty request ticket via the form on their website. I never got any acknowledgement of my request or contact from them at all. It has been over a week since I first requested warranty service from them and nothing not even the standard computer generated 'we have received your request and someone will contact you soon". I have pretty much written them off. Also be aware that their warranty requires you to pay to ship the broken unit to them and the replacement back to you. I do not know how much money that amounts since no one ever bothered to contact me, but I suspect that it will be enough to discourage anyone from doing it. Shame on you Hamilton Beach!!! I will never buy any product with their logo on it again.To be fair if I do hear from Hamilton Beach I will update this review to reflect it.

Sent as a gift for friends that were making their own ice. Was well received and getting used daily. Perfect solution and works as expected.

You think you won't have to buy ice again.... Not true.Our GE FRIDGE just can't keep up with the family in the summer when it comes to making ice. Had the service tech out and said it is just the way they are made.Bought this gem.It makes ice pretty quick but by the time you have enough to fill a glass it is melting. The catch tray isn't temperature controlled.Don't leave it with ice in it after you power it off. It can be a real bear to clean....I had to start using the water from our R/O system in it to keep it clean.

I use this ice maker on a daily basis, to replace the ice machine in my refrigerator. I’m able to make the exact amount of ice that I need, so there’s no overflowing mess like the one in my refrigerator......Works perfect for me!! Also, will be extremely handy during power outages, as the wattage is low enough to be able to be powered by my generator.

La máquina cumple con su función y no es muy ruidosa cuando esta trabajando; para producir tres canastas de hielo requiere aprox. 1.5 L de agua y se tarda una hora en llenar una canasta. los hielos que fabrica son de tamaño mediano adecuados para colocar en un vaso. Los hielos se descongelan después de 10 min de ser colocados en la bebida pero ésta si se refresca.

Al principio funcionó bien, todo iba de maravilla. Es un poco tedioso tener que mover los hielos constantemente porque se bloquea el sensor del nivel de hielo y deja de fabricarlos. Pero después de dos semanas de funcionamiento empezaron las fallas. Marca que no tiene agua y si la tiene, marca que está llena de hielo y no tiene nada o simplemente deja de funcionar y hay que apagarla y prenderla.Tienes que tener un bote de agua en el refrigerador para rellenarla, porque si es agua al tiempo salen unos hielos muy chicos. No la volvería a comprar ni recomendaría una así.
