Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition (PS4)

I played BG1 when it first came out and loved it but years later and of course upon hearing that a new game was coming BG3, I got the old curiosity for that world back, not just the game but all the old forgotten realms books set in this rich world. I received the game in good time and good condition and then started playing it, at first in candle keep I was a little put off, trying to figure out the PS4 controls and I wasn't sure about the graphics, then I got used to both and started to appreciate the graphics, for example the fact that many of the inns you go to have different décor and I started comparing it in my mind to more recent fantasy games like World of Warcraft...……….all I can tell you is in my head and maybe with a mixture of sentimentality and bias to the setting that I loved as a child, this is a far better game, with more depth. For example you are controlling a party, not just one character and they all interact with each other, sometimes negatively, each character has a skill set you can steer as well as their gear and a huge collection of items. The stories are good and fun to be a part of , the voice gifs of your characters can be highly amusing and the music and sound generally is excellent. Put simply a lot of people exploited a rich setting to build one of the most ambitious games ever made, they poured their love in to it. Whereas these days games seem to be made in a generic, purely commercial way, using already established design engines etc...…….just wonderful

These are my 2 favourite games of all time, it has been a long time since I have ventured back into the world of Baldurs Gate I was excited but also a bit worried as to how good the port would on a console. I really neednt have worried the controls overall are more user friendly then I would ever have thought absolutely top marks. As to the games themselves they are as good now as they were in the 90's, these games BG2 in particular are better than 99% of PS4 or XBox 1 games, theres no hand holding they are brutally difficult if played as intended, though you do have the option to scale the difficulty down substantially. I highly, HIGHLY recommend you buy this

Wasn't what I expected

Very good controls for a console controller.

Sadly disappointed with this game - multiplayer not yet available and there seems to be no indication of when this might be available. The original PS2 version of the game without all of the alleged enhancements was vastly superior in my opinion, with better game play. Certainly wasn't worth the wait!

I was originally concerned about how the controls were mapped when I picked up all the Black Isle games on the Ps4. Overall, they are easy to use and maintain what I've always enjoyed about them.

It was about time these games were brought out on Playstation. I was a fan of the genre on PC, so I'm overjoyed at its conversion to gaming platforms!

Bought for my nephew who was bery happy with the game. Contains all expantions and parts of the pc baldrrd gate game from the late 90's and early 00's.

magnifico ! riproposizione di un grande classico di fine anni 90. gioco in italiano (fare aggiornamento). Giocabilissimo ancora oggi. l'unico problema è la mappa del mondo, veramente troppo piccola, per il resto ancora godibile e una spanna sopra al 90% dei gdr più recenti.

Wer in einem Rollenspiel Top Grafik erwartet, kann weitersuchen. Die Grafik von Baldurs Gate 1 und 2 hat mittlerweile gut 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel und das sieht man dem Spiel auch an. Statt moderner 3D Optik gibt es vorgezeichnete Hintergründe (die immer noch gut aussehen) und verpixelte Spielfiguren. Trotzdem spreche ich dem Spiel eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung aus. Auch heute haben beide Titel eine tolle Spieltiefe, eine interessante Geschichte, eine detaillierte Fantasywelt und sprühen nur so vor Fantasie. Die Steuerung auf der PS4 ist ein bisschen hakeliger als auf dem PC, aber sie geht nach einer Eingewöhnungszeit ziemlich gut von der Hand. Es muss meiner Meinung nach keiner Angst haben, das Baldurs Gate auf Konsole unbeherrschbar ist. Das Spiel geht flüssig von der Hand. Ich lege jedem Hardcore PS4 Rollenspieler den Titel ans Herz. Viele viele spannende und fantastische Stunden in Faerun warten auf euch :-)

Baldur's Gate è arrivato su PS4. Nel Blu-ray del gioco sono presenti i due classici baldur's Gate (1 & 2) e le loro espansioni (Tales of the sword coast e Throne of Bhaal), la nuova storia Siege of Dragonspear creata dai curatori della Enhanced Edition e la modalità Black Pits che è una sorta di arena staccata della trama del gioco originale. PRECISAZIONE sulla verisone e sui doppiaggi: Il gioco inizialmente si presenta tutto in inglese, una volta scaricato l'aggiornamento ci sarà anche l'italiano: -BG1 e Siege of Dragonspear hanno testi in italiano e parlato in inglese. BENE. -BG2 ha sia testi che parlato in italiano. Mmm... BENE, il doppiaggio del gioco originale non era male. -Throne of Bhall invece ha testi in italiano e parlato "quasi" tutto in inglese, MALE. I personaggi giocabili hanno l'audio originale in italiano (perchè è lo stesso di BG2) mentre il resto del parlato nella storia è in inglese, questo da un pò fastidio ma ci si fà il callo, per fortuna però non hanno messo il pessimo doppiaggio che era presente nella vecchia versione PC. Sarebbe stato meglio se ci fosse stata un'opzione per selezionare anche il doppiaggio tenedo comuque i testi in italiano, per avere una continuità tra i due giochi. NOTA: c'è persino l'originale voce che dice: "devi raccogliere il tuo gruppo..." che sembra detta con un accento dell'est italianizzato, che già nelle versioni fatte succesivamente (Pre-Enhanced) era stata rimossa. Davvero Fastidiosa! Per quanto riguarda la gocabilità ci sarebbe molto da dire perchè questa versione per PS4 non è male ma ci sono moltissime cose da sitemare, sono piccole cose ma nella totalià rovinano un pò l'esperienza, non starò qua ad elencarle; cmq quello che su pc non funzionava era sistemato da patch e da mod nonchè dalla console interna del gioco, invece su PS4 tocca tenersi i difetti. I comandi con il pad della PS4 sono un pò scomodi ma si riesce comuque a gestire bene il gioco grazie alle pause tattiche anche a difficoltà elevate. Di "Enhanced" queste versioni hanno poca roba, qualche area e personaggio in più, ma le mancanze presenti nelle vecchie versioni dei giochi non sono state colmate, ho trovato di gran lunga meglio giocare alle vecchie versioni usando il mod "trilogy" che raggruppava i due giochi in uno e i vari mod che sistemavano le missioni mancanti o le lacune tecniche che nella Enhanced sono ancora presenti. Considerando il prezzo delle versioni per pc sia normale che Enhanced (molto inferiore a questo) e la mancanza di personalizzazione che non si può avere su PS4, consiglio l'aquisto di questo blu-ray solo ai nostalgici e a chi non ha la possibilità o la voglia di averlo su pc, e comuque senza sependere più di una ventina di euro.
