Liked: The final installation. The lamps are small, but nice and bright. Careful: The quality assurance is not perfect with this product! 1) There are 4 small lamps and one splitter-box. No Switch. Read the description to be clear what's included. 2) The unit can be supplied with straight 12v D.C. from your fuse-box. Cut off the plug. 3) The wire to the lamp is mechanically weak and un-protected at the entry hole. I recommend applying a heat-shrink tube to protect the wire. 4) Fitting: I found that I needed to bend-back one of the retaining springs to allow the unit to pass through the hole I'd cut in the ceiling. (I recommend using a suitable hole-saw) This bending back of the spring has the added advantage in that the unit can be more easily removed from the hole. 4) One of the lamps I bought had a connection quality problem. Only one wire was connected inside and the other was completely un-soldered. It had never been attached to the solder-pad on the pcb. Notes: It is possible to get inside and do a bit of re-engineering to improve quality and reliability. To access the interior, you need to drill-out the central spring-retaining rivet. (Centre-punch and approx 3mm drill required). This rivet can't be re-used, but can be replaced with a suitable self-tapper and washer later. After removing the rivet, you can insert a rod through the hole to gently press the lens out. Once you have access through the front, a fine-tipped soldering iron and solder-sucker is necessary to re-make connections as required. (Take care with the polarity. It survived reverse-connection with my installation, but polarity must be correct to work). Limits: There's a limit to the re-work possible. The components are surface-mount LEDs and resistors. Nothing user-serviceable. The circuit-board is firmly glued to the aluminium body - so there's no access to the back of the pcb. The two pcb screws are of no function (presumably they were used to retain the pcb during gluing. I'd say the quality of the product is incompatible with the price. However, it's working now.

Ideal lights for campervan rooves

Installed to replace existing 12v lights. Nice even soft white, simple to fit. Excellent.

I installed 4 of these LED lights on the ceiling of my microcamper van. Easy enough to install and power up using the connectors provided. Light quality is very good, warm white so not too harsh on the eyes.

Used for the back of a van for a conversion. Warm white brighter than expected. Found leads not long enough so had to buy additional wire to extend the leads and requires an additional power supply that is not included.

Disappointed. Lights look good but cable has broken at the entry point to the light on one light. No way to fix as you can't get into the unit to re solder!!

If you are thinking of installing in a camper/motorhome please ensure you wire these to a 12v regulator these LED lights are not designed for +13v if your DC power is charging from the alternator/solar etc you must regulate the voltage to 12v. These LED lights get VERY VERY hot almost set my T&G on fire.

Die Lampen kamen völlig zerkratzt an. Dass dies kein Einzelfall ist liest sich aus den vorherigen Rezensionen bereits raus. Hier sollte wirklich an der Verpackung etc. gearbeitet werden. Zudem lassen sie sich selbst für Profis schwierig und mit viel „Fummelei“ anschließen.

Völlig zerkratzt, alle vier Stück. Vielleicht hatte ich auch nur Pech und eine gebrauchte Retoure erwischt. 12v Stecker für den Verteiler ist nicht dabei was das direkte anschließen erschwert

Easy to install to the VW T5 thanks to its size. Somehow I got the feeling there would be 5 of them in the package (based on the main picture) but it is only 4 of them. Anyways, good lights for good price.
