Quick 5 Minute Grits, 24oz Box

I'm from the south and having a warm bowl of grits for breakfast is a fond memory of mine. I wanted real, Southern grits with "grits" actually on the packaging and not "polenta" or some other type of ground cornmeal. There is quite a difference in the texture and taste and they are actually from two different kinds of corn. Living in the PNW doesn't make it easy to find actual "grits." Anyhow, these grits are "just like my mama made them" back in Tennessee. I've cooked these several times and you really can't go wrong. Remember: Stir them frequently to avoid lumpiness, add a little carnation milk, butter, a pinch of salt and as much sugar as your little ole southern heart desires and you're good to go!

I purchased this for my family, especially for my mother. It takes about five minutes to prepare and it's ready to serve. I appreciate that it always tastes fresh and there's no need for measurement. Add water, cook, and it's done.

Delicious grits. Convenient to make and the right amount for a serving. Good with cheese butter or plain. Decent price too.

These are the best grits I’ve ever tasted. It’s worth the extra time to cook them. I add a dash of salt and a tablespoon of butter before cooking. You can also add olive oil or sesame oil, depending on what you plan to serve with them. I serve the grits plain or with cheese. You can add anything you like to Flavor them. Many people think of Grits as a breakfast food. You can have them any time of day that Suits your schedule.

Moved South in retirement and found nothing but instant, quick grits in local stores. Eating quick, instant grits might as well eat the cardboard box. No Southern Gentleman or Lady should have to eat quick, instant grits. These grits are worth the 20 minutes it takes to make’m right. However, over priced when you can find them in a local store.

For some reason, our local stores carry everything Quaker makes.............except real, old-fashioned grits. I've been using their instant grits for years until I stumbled across the "real" ones online. This is the 2nd box I've ordered and will continue to order them until a store near me decides to stock it. They obviously take a little longer to prepare than the instant ones, but if you love southern grits, the time is worth it.

Grits are a great breakfast meal / side dish. I recommend buying this brand. The grits were tasty. Seller was great. One problem......it's very expensive compared to what I would have paid for it if I were in the USA. They do not sell GRITS here in Canada. I wish they would. Enjoy this Southern dish with fried eggs. You can add cheese to the grits as well for a slightly different flavour.

Just to have them in my cupboard! Yummy. Brings me back to my childhood! Just as expected, can't go wrong with grits.

Love their grits but I didn’t get this box I got A round container that is not instant grits but the regular grits that take 15-20 minutes. Will still eat them.
