Actually got a Micro 2.0
The product I received was not the Micro HD+. Instead, much to my pleasant surprise, I got a Micro 2.0. Sealife Micro 2.0 Underwater Camera 32gb WiFi This is the newer, replacement product, so I am absolutely not complaining about the substitution. That said, this review is really for the new product, since I never received an HD+.Taking pictures with the Micro 2.0 is a pleasure. The "piano key" interface is easy to operate uner water. It can be mildly inconvenient when plugged in to external power on land, since the power cable protrudes where you would like to have the heel of your hand. This is entirely forgivable, however, given how easy it is to operate and modify settings under water if you so desire. A few intuitive button presses gets you to the setting you want fairly quickly.Retrieving the photos is still a bit of a problem. The current version of the Android application has issues on Android 6. A new version is available from tech support which addresses some of th worst issues with the Play Store version, but still doesn't give full access to the camera contents from my Nexus 6. That said, my tablet running an older version of Android provided tolerable access on the road. Linux users will also note that although the Micro 2.0 appears to have a Busybox-based Linux OS, its storage is not accessilble as a USB mass storage device. Although it does work in Windows, the USB storage interface presents a SCSI block device which cannot be mounted when plugged in to a Linux laptop or desktop. SeaLife tech support indicates that work on this problem is ongoing. If I get a working firmware update for this problem I will update this review.

Takes pretty good pictures
Takes pretty good pictures. Had a glitch halfway through the week where it locked up and wouldn't do anything. After trying all the suggestions, none of which worked, I gave it a good smack and it went back to working again without any further problems. Hope it was just a new glitch. I wish it had a telephoto lens and would take closer close-ups without another lens, but it is what it is. Unless you are a professional photographer, this should foot the bill for most of your underwater photography needs. The only other con is that you cannot use any flash or strobe with it. You have to use a video light.

Almost there...
Good camera, I bought it as a replacement for a Nikon AW120, which had started taking in water after 1 year of use.I use this camera exclusively for recreational scuba diving. The one thing I wish it had was a manual white balance adjustment, I feel the range provided for "shallow" and "deep" is just too broad for accurate underwater colors.Pros:Compact size, decent pics without the strobe lightsSealedDepth rangePriceCons:No manual white balance adjustmentPreview screen is hard to see to point while taking a pictureStrap is short and not floatableNeeds an additional lens (~$40) to take close ups/macro, there is no zoom

A good camera for casual under water pictures.
This camera enables me to take under water pictures with good fidelity. It is very important to be in clear water for the best pictures. The camera is easy to use. The amount and type of light and how close you are to the subject determines the quality of picture you will take. It is important to set the camera for above water or below water to get the best color. Other cameras setting are important as well.

Picture quality excellent. Video quality incredible
Used it last week in TCI, down to 80ft. Picture quality excellent. Video quality incredible. Very easy to operate and set up. Great size. My only gripe would be the clunky accessories (chargers, strap etc) but the camera itself is excellent. Not great to use on the surface due to the fish eye lens, but highly recommended for underwater

Worth it -recommended!
The colors are amazing. The camera is very easy to use and takes good quality photos most times. I have been doing underwater portraits with this camera and am very pleased with the results. I was so happy with this product I also bought the DC1400 model.

I really like it!
I took this camera to Chuuk (Truk) lagoon for 10 days of diving. In 23 dives I carried it down as far as 140 ft with no problem. The image and video were easy to use (nice sized controls) and it took good video inside the sunken ships as long as there was some ambient light present. The internal red filter worked well to compensate for the underwater blue shift. I really like this camera.

Great little camera with one small but important flaw
I really like this camera - it is small and light and easy to use - it takes really nice pictures. So far using the simple set up - I have taken pictures on land and down to 9metres in murky viz and both sets were clear and had a good color to them. So, if I like it so much why not give it 5 stars? IMHO the only thing that lets this camera down is the lanyard attachment point which is way too small and made of a brittle looking plastic ( I am not saying it is brittle but it is not nice and rubbery and flexible) so I was uneasy to put a hard clip or split ring onto it and it is way too small for a good sized plastic clip or to loop a double thickness of paracord around. Considering this is supposed to be a camera for using when diving I would have hoped for an attachment point that allowed for alternative attachments to the small wrist lanyard provided - which is fine if you are using it on land but not so helpful if you are trying to dive with it - I ended up putting a couple of zip-ties loosely around the attachment point and then attaching my Quick Release Coil Lanyard onto those but it is not as streamlined or a safe as if I could have attached the Quick Release Coil Lanyard direct to the camera itself.

A GoPro even an idiot can't flood
Basically its a GoPro for idiots, which suits me as I managed to flood my last GoPro 3!!It does take some getting used to and takes a lot of playing around with the settings to get used to what you need for different situations.Instead of using the in built filter I prefer to use the SeaDragon lights and this gives a better outcome.Unfortunately what I feel really lets this down is that it is basically a sealed GoPro but costing more, and you cannot shoot in RAW format.I use lightroom to make changes to the photos after and have got some really good results but nothing compared to the ones that my dive buddy gets with his Olympus TG which does support RAW and can be made further waterproof with an independent case.Overall while not a bad piece of kit I would only recommend it if it was on your absolute upper price range, personally if I'd known a bit more when I was camera shopping I would have spent the extra money and gone with the Olympus set up.

Macht was sie soll, gute Bilder

Die SEA LIFE entspricht allen meinen Erwartungen. Klare Kaufempfehlung
