The "search results" image is correct, the image shown once you click and go into the item details is incomplete. I bought this part and received both parts of the seal - i.e., the part that is installed in the seal plate and the part that is installed on the impeller. By noticing that the two pictures are different, I can tell that you're on the right track. Contrary to what some might think, this item is two separate and distinct parts, as I previously described. Maybe some people get confused due to this item being shipped with both parts wrapped together. This is a generic aftermarket part, not an authentic Hayward part. When weighing service life vs. price, I'll continue to purchase the aftermarket part.

Q: how do you separate the housing to replace the ps201 seal?

The gasket is to replace the lid gasket that you can open to clean. It takes an electrician to replace housing seal.

Q: Will this fit sp2615x20?

Yes, this is listed for your pump (sp2615x20). However, I'd use a PS-3868 if you have a salt-water pool.
