Smart buy with the accompanying ISOP Fire Escape Ladder
We recently had a fire on our island that killed two and left four other family members hospitalized. Some jumped from a second story window, and children were left to go through their memories and spend their lives without a mother and little sister. Our 40 year old son (who has a 9 year old child) was traumatized just from the photos and the news, and his is the reason we began looking for an escape ladder and bought all new fire alarms. Homes on our island are built a full story above ground, so our top living space is actually 4 stories high. We bought the ladder that will reach from there to the ground, and with it, these hooks. Before purchasing, we researched several models online, and several on Amazon, but this one looked the most solid and simple to use. We also purchased the large, over-the-window-sill hooks, and a child harness, both to store with the ladder. Everything arrived extremely quickly, and we are pleased with the apparent quality. As I said in my opening, the best case scenario will be "never to use this", but thanks to its reasonable price and clearly thought out design, we're as prepared as a family can be! We urge you to do the same for your family!

Hooks for fire escape ladders
Purchased with a ladder for easy escape from a fire. Very good quality and gives great peace of mind. Even though we hope we will never use the product it is such a comfort to know they are available if needed.

Great quality and very strong.
The ladder and it's components are all very well built. Ladder is light weight enough to handle easily and quickly. The ladder comes rolled up and will easily transfer to the bag that is supplied. Over all the ladder will do the job. One large error I found is the loop on the hook where you attach the carabiner has a gap that is so large the carabiner slides out. So if you're in a hurry and the hook is loose. The hook will become detached from the ladder.

SO EASY for a kid to use
I bought this ladder for my 10-year old son's room, and it's perfect! I did my research about escape ladders and all of the ladders out there appear quite difficult for kids to set up. With this rope ladder all the guessing and set up goes, LITERALLY, out the window >_< To hook up the ladder, I bought two 3/8-in x 3.875-in Zinc-Plated Steel Plain Eye Bolt and two 1/2-in x 2-in Zinc Plated Standard (SAE) Fender Washers and screw them into the studs right under the window. That ladder isn't going anywhere other than out the window and that's it :p. The ladder and the bolts hold my weigh just fine (195 lb). The heavy-duty Carabiners are great, the only problem is that there's no way to easily tell which side is the one that opens, so I decided to use just blue tape on the ends that open. Plus, in case the ladder needs to be reset by son for some reason, I also added blue tape to the eye bolts, that way he knows that the ends with tape on the Carabiners face the blue tape on the eye bolts. It's very light-weight so my son has no issues pulling it back inside. I used the bag it comes in to store it under my son's window, it doesn't look too conspicuous if you ask me :) Very happy with this ladder. PS. Yes, he climbed out the window and down the ladder, and then back up. Twice this week now :p

Best escape ladder available in my humble opinion.
This is probably the best of all the 2 story escape ladders out there. Won't cut into your fingers like the cheap wire chain models. It's reusable, most of the others are not. Worth the extra cost. Fasten the two hooks together in advance. In the event of a fire close bedroom door, loop the end of the ladder with the two hooks fastened together over the bedpost furthest from the window, then loop the nearest rung of the ladder over the bedpost closest to the window. Open the window. Throw the rest of the ladder out the window. Slide the bed up to the window until it is touching the wall at the window. Jump up on the bed, facing the ladder make your way out of the window feet first and down the ladder. Have a nice day. Been there, done it. Hopefully you will never have to use it. Sleep well.

Easy to deploy and test
Fortunately I have not had to use my ladder in an emergency but I'm very happy with my purchase so far. It is easy to deploy, doesn't break windows and you can try it out prior to having to use it in an emergency. I was a little concerned that the attachment hooks would not feel secure on my windowsills but this fear was unfounded. They straddle perfectly and do not move around. They feel very solid. My only criticism is that it was rather difficult to attach the hooks to the ladder - definitely needs some strength which I don't have. I am going to purchase a three-story version for my third-level rooms.

Quick Escape from Upper Floors
The 16' & 8' escape ladders are compact fitting into my custom made 16" wide x x 8" deep x 14" tall inside diameters 1/2" oak board boxes that are mounted to the walls under the window with the anchors secured into the window sill frame with stainless steel screw eyes and 1000 pound rated shackles (which are more compact than the included carabiners). The hindged top with 1 1/2" wide x 2 inch deep cutouts that are 12 1/2" appart on the storage box allows rapid deployment of the escape ladder, saving prescious seconds in a needed escape (see video). The ladders easily carried my 151 pounds and are rated for 1000 pounds. My cabin has two floors with windows 8' and 16' above ground. When I initially installed the ladders and tried to climb out, the ladders laid flush to the outside wall making it difficult to get my feet and hands on the rungs and was quite frightening trying to climb down. So I designe a simple support frame out of treated lumber sizes 4" x 4" x 8' & 16' and 2" x 4" x 8' & 16' that provided toe and hand space and guides that held the ladder in vertical position. This allowed easy foot and hplac

I highly recommend these ladders and I hope this review helps you buy the right product. - Casement windows ... found it challenging to find a ladder that would work with the casement windows on the 2nd story of our house (see photo). Very pleased with this one... we purchased a 2nd one a week later. As you can see, casement windows don't offer a 100% width opening, plus there's the extension arm along the bottom part of the frame. Since the white rope between rungs is flexible, it's able to fit within the width of the window. - Re-usable ... Thankful this isn't a single-use fire escape ladder. That makes absolutely NO sense to me! We practiced using the ladder numerous times when purchased, and would recommend everyone do the same. You learn a LOT when you do a drill (even timed) and have to find + unpack the ladder, toss it out the window (properly, to not break any windows below), put on the harness, attach the harness, climb out. - Build quality ... excellent. The yellow rungs are very grippy and lean towards uncomfortable for bare hands and feet, but c'mon, your house is on fire, who cares. The rungs CAN rotate slightly in place, however, but I don't think this would result in a slip or fall when descending. - The hooks ... I would recommend the carabiner style hooks on the ladder over the J-hooks that hang over your window, ONLY from personal experience. It required us to bolt 2 large hooks on the wall under the window in our bedrooms, but they aren't too intrusive or ugly. (Search "besthouse 304 heavy duty swing hangers" for a good recommendation). IMPORTANT: we attached them just above the base board and bought a ladder that is long enough to go up the wall, through the window, then down to the ground. This allows for easy connection of the ladder (at ground level), especially for a child, instead of having to lift the ladder to attach it. It also means 2-3 rungs of the ladder go UP the wall towards the window, making it easier for a child to get up to the window sill to get out. No need for a stool. - Measure properly ... as I said above, make sure you get a long enough ladder to reach from your secure hooks on a wall, up to the window, THEN down to the ground. - Compared to other popular brands ... Kidde ladders are easy to find, but are single-use so I wouldn't even consider them. They have little legs on each rung that hold the ladder steady against your house, which this ladder lacks, but during our test "escapes" we didn't have issues without them. As this ladder hangs out the window and you step down to each rung, it tends to hang a bit away from the house so you can put the middle of your foot on the rung and your toes kind of stick out to stabilize you against the house. No concerns. - The harness ... (bought the black waist harness with leg loops) works great, well-built, fits great on young kids up to adults. I wrote a Q&A response to someone else asking about a 4+ year old, which may be worth reading if you have very small children. I can't stress enough that you should practice the harness every once in a while. People can get disoriented in an emergency and it's asking a lot for a child to unpack a ladder, put on a harness, then use them both. (e.g. the harness should be attached to the red security line OUTSIDE the window, otherwise you will get stuck as you try to crawl out). - Size and storage ... one of the ladders we bought came with a zip bag, the other didn't. For the one without a bag, we purchased a large kind of tray at a home store and put the ladder on the tray under a bed. This eases access in an emergency. The ladder itself IS big and bulky, especially compared to the tidy Kidde ones (which you can never re-pack, mind you), but just allow some space under a bed and the size doesn't really matter anymore. A zipper bag may even be more cumbersome to open in an emergency. Careful how you store the ladder, you don't want a tangle when you throw it out the window! I don't think I could write anything more if I wanted to. :) Shopping for the right ladder was a challenge for us, so I hope this saves someone a lot of time and helps you find the right product.

Tanıtım görselindeki ürün gönderildi Tşk. İnşaallah ihtiyaç duymayız ama gerekirse güvenle kullanılabilecek bir ürün, el altında bulundurulmalı diye düşünüyorum.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. I was very impressed with how sturdy and solid it is, with heavy duty carabinars and the rope is really thick and good to hold onto. Wish I had bought the one with the safety belt and line, but I have created my own version so should work similiar. Hope I never have to use it for emergencies but if I did, feel very confident with it, easy storage under the bed ready to deploy. May buy the other one with safety belt and line too as I am so impressed, great quality and value for money.
