Good little rower
Had this rower for 4 weeks now, really happy with it.When it first arrived I was worried the resistance would be too low. I'm a 40+ year old bloke whose fitness has always been maintained but I'd consider avaerage and this machine gives me a good workout at level 7 for 30mins with room to increase resistance up to the max of 10 as my endurance improves.Easily assembled, looks & feels well made, folds up quickly and easily to save space, glides smoothly while in use and the seat is comfortable. Can't go wrong 👍

Sturdy and big enough for a 6'2" novice rower
I've only had this for a couple of days, but overall it's been a great buy. It arrived on time, well packed. Instructions are quite minimal but I put it together in about 20 minutes after a couple of minor mistakes. The track is long enough for me to straighten my legs when rowing - something I was concerned about being 6'2", but there is still another 6-8cm of space to slide back further. The resistance seems quite light and I've turned it straight up to 8-10, but it's enough to give me a good workout.I realise now why the Concept 2 rower is about 2.4m long and this is 1.81m. This has a shorter length of stroke, pulling from about level with your toes, rather than being able to reach way past your toes as you might with a much bigger machine. While a longer stroke would be nice, this is plenty to get some good cardio at home and since I have neither the money or space for a bigger machine, I'm very happy with the compromise. There is a quiet noise of the runners rolling back and forth on the track, but not enough to disturb others, or stop you listening to something while working out, and the cable resistance is virtually silent.I haven't quite worked out the display yet, but it works and gives time, distance, strokes and calories, and is quite easy to read.I can't comment on how it lasts, but it seems sturdy and well built. It folds up quite nicely for storage.Overall it seems like a great balance of cost, size, quality and function.

Good customer service
Good quality machine. All assembly instructions are on one page which is not the easiest to follow but I managed on my own in half hour. There was a problem with the seat not sliding along the central bar properly and it kept jamming. I found one of the welded stop brackets under the seat was positioned incorrectly. I spoke to XS Sports, phone number on Amazon, and the service was great. Thanked me for finding the issue and sent a new seat without any further questions. The rowing machine now works very well. The magnetic pull mechanism is virtually silent, the only noise is the seat rollers moving on the central bar which is to be expected. Very happy with my purchase.

Generally pleased with it
Some people have said this rower doesn't give much resistance. They must be built like The Terminator...I row 10,000m at a time, two or three times a week. I have the rower on resistance 7 and it takes around forty-five minutes. When using a rowing machine in the gym - obviously a lot more expensive and high-tech, the distance still takes around forty-five minutes, so I'm guessing the resistance is pretty much the same as I use there, so overall I'm happy with that. It's magnetic resistance as well, which is better than elastic as nothing (should) deteriorate over time.Difficult to assemble - for some reason I ended up with two plastic screw-covers spare - there shouldn't be, and I can't see where they're supposed to go, but at the end of the day they're not particularly important for the machine.Haven't folded it up once - it stays out all the time so have no idea what it's like folded. The distance/calories/time screen is fairly straight-forward and clear to see. I like the fact you can continue your totals as well - when you stop using the machine, it 'remembers' all previous counts so you can add everything up for the full week. Obviously you can reset everything and start again from zero each time if you want. For the money, this is pretty good - not the best as it's not silent, so if you have it on floorboards upstairs like I do then perhaps the neighbours can hear the vibrations when you're using it, but it's certainly not the worst rower I've used. It's worth paying that bit extra if you can to have the magnetic resistance - it should last you longer. It's balanced well and doesn't feel like it's going to move any time soon. Beware though, when it arrives packed it's pretty bulky and quite heavy, so if you're not used to exercise and are getting this to shed the post-lockdown pounds you may need some help getting it to the room you want to keep it in.

Works well and doesn’t take up too much space
I wanted a machine that would kick start an exercise plan in retirement and so far this has been a great choice. Good range of resistance and I’m quickly building up stamina. As it easily folds up it doesn’t take over the room

Good rower for the price.
Excellent rowing machine for the money, especially if like me you are new to indoor rowing.Didnt know what to expect with a rowing machine so i was reluctant to spend more than i needed to. Some of these machine are £500 or £600 plus.... I poured through all the reviews and decided to go for XS Sports R310 Home Rowing Machine, it had more pros than cons and at £200, is cheap in comparison to others.i have been using it for the last 6 weeks or so and i can see a definite improvement in my general fitness, stamina and waistline. Started on setting 6 with a duration of 25 to 30 minutes or 4k distance, now i am on setting 8 for 70 minutes or £10k distance. i do this 5 or 6 time a week. Overall i have dropped nearly 8 pound so far, without really needing to change my diet. The seat is hard and very nasty. i would advise buying a padded seat cushion to protect your tush.
