Q: Can anyone tell me what this is and what to use it for and how much salt is in it

This is a southern mixture of cabbage,sugar,peppers,onions,vinegar,jalapeÃ±o peppers,salt, and spices (it is not hot). The ingredients are cut up small and mixed together. 65mg (3%) salt. more important just 5g (2%) carbs. Used on hot dogs or sausage as a garnish in place of sauerkraut. My wife grew up in the south and thinks this is the best that she has found. Takes her back to her youth at grandma's house. Cant find it in stores.

Q: How spic? I know it says mild, but husband likes only a little sweet heat. Thanks🙃

To me the spices are just right. The hot that they make is a little too hot for my taste, but the mild is just the right amount of sweet and heat. I've ordered this more than one time also. Another thing I like about this chow chow is that it is not so liquidy that it is sloppy. I like to put this on hot dogs and it doesn't soak the bun all the way through, which some others that I've tried had a little more liquid than what i prefer. Hope this helps.
