Good enough, But need a little extra to isolate forearms: Read on.
Not much to say, it's a handle with a rope that winds a weight up and down. This product works well enough for that and is one of the cheaper brands out there.Got the entire product intact without anything missing unlike some of the other reviewers, nothing to set up, just put a plate in and use.The only thing that detracts from this product is that in order to use it well, you have to lift it up to shoulder height - this however places a lot of emphasis on the anterior deltoids rather than isolating the forearms. Another reviewer commented on the "Grip Freak Hanging Wrist Roller" which basically consists of hanging the wrist roller in the air so all you need to do is roll it instead of raising it and rolling it, this is actually highly effective but at $160, it's quite a ways out of my budget (or anyone's for that matter for only a wrist roller)A trip to the local hardware store, a couple feet of rope, 5 inches of 3/4" pvc, and I basically have the same thing for $5 more. Drill holes into the pvc on the two ends and in the middle. Use rope to connect the two ends to the roller and the middle to the ceiling. Voila! No more delt recruitment! The only thing however is that it doesn't seem to be as smooth as the Grip Freak roller, but at $150 less, it gets the job done in my book.On a site note, I also use the "Fat Gripz" (rubber grips that makes any handle bigger) and it gives an even more intense workout.Hope that helps.

Absolutely outstanding. One of the best forearm exercises around.
Absolutely hammers my forearms. I used to do 30 lb wrist curls and thought that made me tough. Hah! Not! This was humbling - even 10-15 lb weights were hard to do. My forearms burned and my muscles were pumped after just 1 set. The results are visible in less than 3 weeks of work - more definition, a touch more size and way more veins popping out. Individual muscles in my forearm now routinely show. Most importantly, the twisting action is very practical - comes in handy on a day to day basis. Under arm twisting is absolutely brutal and has built up significant strength. Highly recommend.

Build stronger forearms.
This is just what I was looking for to aid developing my forearms. This piece of equipment is not available at my gym so I was using dumbbells to do wrist curls. My form was neither satisfactory nor providing the improvement in strength I was seeking. Forearm strength is required when biking using aerobars.

Definitely Blasts Your Forearms. Works with Olympic Plates.
Not expensive and works what it's supposed to. Was worried whether or not it would work with Olympic plates, but rest assured, it works. Only concern is the same as other reviewers, and that is the foam hand grips. Not sure about the durability/longevity of them, but they are fine for now. If/when they go out, I'll most likely go with the rubber grip route. Other than that, this is a great piece of workout equipment.

Awesome!
This $15 device is great for isolating forearms for a killer workout! I took off the foam grips and put on rubber BMX bike grips, able to get a much better grip now. I also hung it from cargo straps from Home Depot to isolate my forearms. I simply took the loop end of the strap and put it around the bar. The hook end of the strap is hanging from ceiling hooks. By far the best forearm workout I have found yet!The only thing I don't like is the way the rope coils while you are pulling up the weight. It tends to move the workout toward the arm that the rope is coiling towards. A flat strap would work much better....that will be the next mod. Also, I can see how these are arriving with missing parts. My washer and nut were rolling around free in the Amazon box. I assumed they fell out of the cheap clamshell package.

Definitely Recommend
It does what it is intended to do. Easy to use, easy to add weight. The grips do become loose over time but its a simple fix with a bit of grip tape.

Arrived intact; seems sturdy
Couldn't find one of these at any of the fitness stores in the city but was dissuaded from ordering this by the several reviews about the missing screw cap. Eventually, I got tired of looking for it and figured it was worth the risk ordering it online. Mine arrived with all the pieces and it seems pretty sturdy. I've used it a couple of times without any problems; hits the forearms hard which is exactly why I wanted it. If I have any problems I'll update my review and rating accordingly. Otherwise, definitely worth the 15-20 bucks.

Seems to work
It's actually a fairly simple concept and not at all original. I haven't had it long enough to know, but it does seem to get the expected results and looks like it will last. I'm 70 years old and I am using it about three times a day to restore strength in my hand where I had surgery and for general strengthening of both forearms. So far, so good.
