Reusable cable ties that *actually* work (even with old big fingers)
I bought these Helping Hand FQ50214 quick-release cable ties to tame the usual nest of wires behind the desk, and they turned out to be a lot better than I expected. First, the colors. These aren’t dull, generic plastic strips — they’re bright and easy to tell apart. That makes it simple to color-code different cables: one color for power, another for HDMI, another for computer gear, etc. I can look at the bundle and know what’s what without playing “guess that wire” on my knees behind the furniture. Functionally, they’re flawless so far. They tighten with that reassuring little zip-zip-click as you pull them snug, and they hold the bundle exactly where you put it. Where they really shine, though, is the quick-release feature. There’s a small lever you press, and the tie just slides open again. No scissors, no knife, no risk of nicking the cable insulation. I’ve seen “releasable” ties before, but this is the first set where the release is obvious, easy, and works every time — even with my old big fingers. The length is very usable. At 8 inches they’re long enough to grab thick, unruly cables, power bricks, and bundled extension cords. If you need something shorter, you can just cinch and snip the excess. They’re reasonably priced, and my order arrived on time. Small bonus: the top of the package can be repurposed as a little tray to keep the ties corralled instead of rolling around in a drawer. I haven’t owned them long enough to give a long-term durability verdict. That said, they *feel* like they’re made from solid, high-quality plastic — not the brittle kind that snaps the third time you touch it. Only time will tell, but I’m optimistic. Bottom line: if you’ve ever cursed at a one-time-use zip tie while digging for scissors, these quick-release ties are a smarter, cleaner solution. I’m very happy with them so far and already planning to buy another pack.

Great for dog kennels!
Used these for my dogs kennel for airplane travel. They were easy to use, sturdy, and completed the job well.

Used these for my dog's crate during air travel. The quick-release function works very well and were a godsend in the setting I was using them in (my dog does not want to wait until we have access to scissors to get out of her crate post air-travel!) Knocked one star off for build--somewhat flimsy feeling (though they didn't snap or anything, so I don't really have anything but "feel" to base that off of).

Dang near indestructible!
These zip ties are pretty durable. I used to buy them frequently from local brick & Mortar drug stores. Unfortunately, none of the retailers in my area carry them anymore. So, imagine my surprise when I noticed them here at amazon. I have zip ties that date back to the late 1990s that are still in use today!

Great product for making sure all of wires behind the television are neatly kept together. I am "one of those" ladies who likes to move the furniture around from time to time. I am also "one of those" ladies who is not that great hooking up electronics. My fix: I color code the equipment with a dab of model paint on the backside with the color of the cable tie that holds the wires I need to hook the electronics back up. I neatly tuck everything away, & I never see the wires or cable ties. I also use them to organize and color code Christmas lights that go together (for the windiws, for the gutters, fir the tree, etc. ). Definitely makes my life a little easier.

Used to secure travel kennel for airline travel
Many airlines require you to zip-tie the door to your pet's travel kennel. Even if it's not required, it's a good idea to do it. These quick release zip-ties are perfect for the job, although I usually have scissors packed in an outside pocket of my checked bag so I can cut them and release my dog quickly from her travel kennel when we are reunited at our destination.
